Summary: This is my first build and boy did I pick the wrong CPU cooler. It took quite a bit of force to get the way-too-short screws to reach just enough to secure this to my motherboard (ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0) on an AMD FX-8350 cpu.
Pros: Great looking, decent reviews, fits Corsair Vengeance C70 case
Cons: Ridiculously difficult to mount, missing screw, not the greatest instructions
Pros: I purchased this item because I had a similar item that I bought and tested on another machine......worked fine. kept the cpu running cooler during intensive use.
Cons: Most ridiculously over-engineering mounting I've ever seen. On the previous buy on a just slightly smaller unit I had no problem mounting (FM2 Socket) clipped down, no problem. On this one I literally had to disassemble the computer to remove the motherboard to mount.........AND THIS CASE was a F...
Summary: I'm ready to try a new maker of heatsinks after 11 years of Zalman in maybe 8 of my builds.
Pros: Does it's job. Pretty quiet.
Cons: Mounting this thing is very time intensive. The metal braces for the fan itself need tweaked as it sits between the heatsink fins a little wonky. The metal braces seem under built for their purpose as they were bent before I got it out of the box.
... third one and the build quality is not as good as before

Summary: This is my third one and the build quality is not as good as before. The fan is leaning toward one side and the fins are not evenly positioned. The same model i got around a year ago did not have these issues. Maybe just me being too picky I don't know.
Summary: A better tool for installation and higher quality screws or a few spare screws and this fan would be perfect and and I would have given 5 stars. I just hope that it still cools my CPU well without that one screw being seated completely.
Pros: The fan looks amazing and seems to cool the computer well. I didn't use the thermal paste included but instead opted for some Arctic 5. Right now everything seems to be ok BUT during the installation one of the screws that came with the kit became stripped and I was unable to secure it completely.
Cons: Stripped screw! This issue could have been easily avoided if they would have just included screws of a slightly higher quality or even a few extra screws in case something happens like this. The tool that they included also seems like it could have been shaped a little differently so that you cou...
Summary: If not for the rattling, I'd have given this 5 eggs. Things do go wrong, I realize that. But that's where you find out who runs a good company and who doesn't. Due to the fact that they have not replied at all to my emails inquiring on how I might get this replaced without being down for weeks,...
Pros: Works great! Who needs Water Cooling?! I've got an i7 4770k 3.5Ghz clocked to 4.3Ghz and the highest I see under load is about 54 deg C. That's with all 8 bars on my desktop MIP meter completely lit up. My fan controller is set to hit 100% at 60 deg but it gets up to around 75% and never has to g...
Cons: 1) It rattles like it's out of balance. 2) I can't get Zalman to respond to my emails for getting service. 3) Rebate took 4 months to get ... no kidding.
Looks good, cools well, but install is a nightmare

Summary: I like the look of the cooler and the performance is good even installed backwards, but the install process was just so bad I couldn't recommend this. Maybe if the feet were bent that might make things more tolerable, but even without that problem the install was still a huge pain.
Pros: This thing is a beast, but actually slightly shorter than many of the big brick coolers that many people use. It certainly looks better than most of those as well, especially with the black fins. The LED is nice, it's not overly bright so it mostly just illuminates the fan, which is fine. It look...
Cons: Unfortunately as much as I like the look and performance of the cooler, the installation was such a nightmare I'm not sure I'd use this again. I installed this on an AM3+ socket for an FX8350. The first problem I had is that the feet for the AM3+ socket in the manual shows the feet bent downwards...
