Pros: Works silent and powerful :D......Keeps my old pentium 4 atleast 10°C cooler which is great since I live in the tropic zone. Its fits perfectly on my LGA 775. Looks cool and works perfect.Great price for such a good product.
Pros: I had kuma 7750 X2 95w with the cooler master Vortex 752 around 37c-48c full load with overclock to 3.3GHz,after i put this Zalman 9300 in the temp-drop down 26c-33c full load.It keep my PC very cool.
Cons: very easy install with the AMD Socket.Very good HeatSink.Thanks.
Summary: Just as loud as my stock fan. I literally broke 2 of the 3 brackets holding the fan in middle of the copper cylinder to kill the NOISE. There is no point in contacting anyone as its a flaw in the design. I wonder how any of them got passed QA.
Summary: may not fit in compact set-ups but it fits well in nzxt gamma case
Pros: surprisingly versatile since its shape is oblong and big i didnt think it would fit right but it does with no ubstruction the people at zalman are doing something right another great product i have it installed on a asus k8v x w 754 newcastle amd 64
Cons: its easy to turn while seated so the shiny copper surface got scratched so its recommended to put the mounts between the tubes with the smallest gap so it wont be able to swivel on top of the cpu so easily but not worth a lost egg
Summary: Get this fan + heat sink. Well worth the price. Great improvement over stock AMD fan.
Pros: The heat sink was small enough to fit into my midtower perfectly. I was using a stock heat sink for an AMD x2 6400+ 125 watt CPU and that was idling around 41 degrees C. With the newly installed Zalman heat sink + Arctic Silver 5 my temps dropped to 30 degrees C at idle. 11 degree drop! Impressiv...
Cons: People said it was loud? I have it running max rpm and its about as loud as the stock fan.
Summary: The search for a quiet AMD athlon x4 cooler continues..
Pros: Seems to keep things pretty cool. Instructions were tricky but not terrible.
Cons: Noisy noisy noisy. It does sound like one of those small model airplanes you fly out side. Even at the slowest speed. Should have believed the other reviews. Probably not a big deal for gamers but for a software developer, sitting next to it all day is not going to cut it.
Summary: If you like that BUZZZZZZZZ sound buy one. Newegg send a message and send all of your stock back to them. they dont respond to RMA or Customer support.
Pros: it cools my processor !
Cons: It's so noisy! It sounds like someone is flying a remote control plane in my back yard. Seriously ! I keep looking out the back window. Then I look down and realize its my Computer! Emailed ZALMAN with no reply. Can't blame newegg they didn't make it. I have narrowed it down to a off balance fan ...
Summary: This isn't a 120mm tower cooler, so don't expect similar performance. I wound up not using the silly fanmate, instead using PWM and my motherboard. As to claims of "loud as an airport" my only responce is "NUH UH!" Perhaps that customer's model was defective?
Pros: Idle temps of 40-37-37-37 C with an ambient temp of 32 after hours of Prime95 load tems stay under ~65C using Arctic Silver 5 on my Q8400 overclocked at 3.2GHz (stock voltage/1600MHz FSB) On top of that it looks sharp too!
Cons: Little play in the clip and installation was not as appearant as I'd like. (tried to use the AMD clip the first time, lol) Universal AMD/Intel bracket conflicted with my motherboard heatsinks (an ASUS P5E Deluxe)...had to take a dremmel and the wire clippers to get clearance, but it did fit event...
