Switched from stock cooler to this bad boy, and I can't hear a thing anymore

Xavier H., Amazon
11 March 2015
  • Summary: I was having problems with keeping the noise down in my box, and it wasn't my graphics card. Switched from stock cooler to this bad boy, and I can't hear a thing anymore! Works great and very easy to install.

Super quiet

  • Summary: Used this in an HTPC build (years ago). It was very quiet and kept the CPU nice and cool, and beat everything else in it's price range. Zalman rocks!

Can you say WOW?

David A., Newegg
1 April 2009
  • Summary: BUY THIS PRODUCT if you want one that works without fail!
  • Pros: I read all the reviews for this product so I was expecting a lot. I really wanted the all copper model but I guess it's on back order right now so it wasn't available. Either way, I ended up getting this product in today. I was really having a lot of problems with my old heatsink and fan. It was ...
  • Cons: This really isn't a CON, but I'm not a fan (no pun intended LOL) of LED lights. This isn't the fan's fault but the one without LEDs was sold out, so I had to get this one instead.

  • Summary: Newegg ROCKS!!!
  • Pros: Very nice. Keeps my processor nice and cooled off. Instructions were clear and easy to understand. Took a little bit of time and effort to get it in, but overall is very stable. Nice fan Zalman!

By golly it fit!

Kimberly M., Newegg
24 March 2009
  • Summary: Make sure that if you are using a Socket 775 you will need to order the Zalman ZM-CS1 clip. When tightening the cooler down, its kind of important to do a little on each side. Screwing down one side all the way without doing the other a bit first could cause the mobo to crack from the strain.
  • Pros: Actually fit in the TT Lanbox Lite w/Gigabyte MicroATX mobo. Fins don't hit or contact anything else in the case, I'm actually very surprised.
  • Cons: Blue LED clashes with Red LED PSU. But you can't win em all. I had originally ordered the 92mm Zalman with no LEDs, but it was backordered.

Better than I expected!

Anonymous, Newegg
20 March 2009
  • Summary: Almost had a clearance problem with the first ram module on my ECS 755-A5 motherboard, but there is just a hair of clearance. I'm sure I could have cut of a millimeter of a few fins had I needed to, but that turned out to be unnecessary.
  • Pros: I have been wanting to reduce the noise level on my 3.0 GHz Athlon 64 for months, but did not want to spend a bundle. This was a perfect choice! This is the best CPU cooler I have ever purchased! It fit perfectly, was very simple (almost idiot-proof) to install, is inexpensive, is very effective ...

Zalman CPU Cooler

Michael H., Newegg
26 February 2009
  • Summary: P4 3.0 Prescott as a WHS. The original ten dollar heat sink/fan I bought 3 years ago was so loud! This is awesome! I went ahead and used the thermal grease it came with and my temps are in the mid 30's idle according to the bios and everest ultimate.
  • Pros: Quiet! Finally!! The Fan Controller is very nice too. The controller comes with a sticky pad that you can use to stick anywhere.
  • Cons: None!

Great fan

Josh Y., Newegg
7 February 2009
  • Pros: Very quiet, even without using the included fan controller. Keeps the processor near room temperature and significantly cooled my northbridge because of the open heat sink design.
  • Cons: I cant fry eggs on my northbridge anymore and the grid-shaped burn marks on the back of my fingers will heal now.
