Summary: Not worth the price or the hassle. Bad purchase.
Pros: Looks nice, runs quiet. provide a little more than sufficient cooling. Cool LED
Cons: Too Low and High! Just way too big! Had to buy a new case for it and had to sacrifice RAM to make room for it since it was too low and took away the last RAM even if RAMs are low profile! Didn't last long. It's been half a year now and this unit is slowly turning and hitting other components on t...
Summary: RMA'd the sink without even installing it. Zalman still makes some of the best looking coolers on the market, but their engineers need to start combining form and function. I give this cooler 2 eggs on looks alone, because I like it that much. It is a shame hardly anyone can enjoy it.
Pros: Best looking heatsink out there. Also seems to be made of top quality material.
Cons: Like many others have pointed out, this is simply a massive heatsink. Covered the first PCIe slot on my ASUS P8Z77 mobo and only left enough room for one stick of G.Skill Ripjaw X. You RAM cannot exceed 40mm TOTAL, including the height of the socket if you want to use Dual channel, for more that,...
Summary: Have problems. After a while, the fans would not start spinning, or would stop spinning after the pc was on for some time. Still investigating the issue. Will drop to one Egg if RMA is needed.
Pros: Double heatsink, triple fan. Need I say more?
Cons: Large and Heavy. For the former, I had to pry off the plastic covering for two of my RAM sticks for the cooler to fit. For the latter, I am very concerned that the sheer weight of it might damage my system.
Cons: -worried that the x79 ram slots are too close to the socket for the ram I bought to fit. Have to wait for the ram to arrive to see. If it is too big, my only local store option is liquid cooling by corsair. either a h60 or h80.
