Cool and quiet

CyborgSentry, Newegg

  • Pros: Keeps a 3570k clocked to 4.5 ghz under 60c at full load. The pulse width modulation (PWM) fan is very quite never exceeding 2000 RPM. No worries about touching the RAM...
  • Cons: Not the easiest cooler to dust off.

Big, effective cooler

TJ, Newegg
20 December 2012
  • Pros: My OCd Intel 3930K is around 30-36C on average. My computer office is right above the boiler room, so that's an accomplishment. I used the included Zalman thermal grease.
  • Cons: The installation instructions need refinement, but if you've been assembling systems for a while, you'll be fine. Just take your time and don't force it.
