Summary: GOOD: Quiet, cools well BAD: Blue LED, awkward to install, particularly recalcitrant as far as cleaning with canned air is concerned UGLY: Fan started to rattle after less than a year of 24/7 operation.
Summary: The fan was bent when it arrived so it hit the copper heatfins.Alos, the cooling preformace was worse than my hyper 212 which costed 20$.Due to the poor preformace it caused overheating and bluescreens.
Summary: I was disappointed at the manual fan speed knob. Otherwise, it is quiet and I have not actually had to increase from the lowest speed setting yet. On one hand, the processor is AMD manufacture. On the other, I do not overclock.
Summary: The fan is improperly balanced and makes a clicking noise at low speeds. At top speed it sounds like a jet engine! It cools 10C better than Intel stock cooler but at approximately the same noise level - my power supply is the loudest fan in the rig when the Zalman is spinning at lower speeds. Astonishingly, it cools my i7 reasonably well as a heatsink without any fan at all. The Zalman website is terrible to navigate and very slow.
