Does it's job effectively, as long as you don't mind the deafening fan whine.

Summary: I bought this item based on the pretty consistent high rating reviews. I wasn't planning on overclocking much, so perhaps it was overkill but I figured for $50 better safe than sorry. Turns out, I'm extremely sorry I purchased it.
Summary: Works like a charm. Bought it to replace OEM AMD CPU Cooling fan. Was running at around 45-50C, idle, under OEM Fan, replaced it with this one and now system runs at 23C idle, 35C at full run.
Summary: Over all design is not bad. However, the cpu bracket screws are too short. I needed to use thread lock to keep them in place, before one kept coming out. The bracket it self is made from good material. The fan barring design is some what cheat, not as silent as I hoped, lots of visible vibration.
Summary: Bought this used for $20, a couple slightly bent fins, didn't matter at all. This is Intel and AMD compatible, the Intel has a bracket(included) that needs to be installed and you have to take out the motherboard to do it.
Summary: It keeps my cpu much cooler than stock. Zalaman makes the best heatsinks, which i only use. pros: large fan keeps cpu very cool optional fan controller compatible with AM3+ cpu cons: very loud heatsink base is designed for only 2 fan positions I have a AsusRock 990FX extreme board which due to...
Summary: I was building a computer from spare parts and my friend told me to get a new fan for the case. He thought I was going to get a simple fan, but I had other ideas. When he saw this fan he laughed and told me I bought the "cadillac" of CPU coolers. He was right.
Summary: I bought the Zalman heat sink and Fan set to replace my dead Thermaltake Ruby Orb (now discontinued). I was able to keep my AMD Athlon 64 x2 3800+ CPU below 90 degrees F and mother board temp was 85, with the Ruby Orb and the other 7 fans in my system.
Summary: Actually, it keeps my APU running cool: ASRock Extreme Tuning Utility tells me the motherboard is running 20C/68F and the processor is at 22C/71F while I'm typing this. I know it's not taxing the inards too terribly bad, but everything is cool as it should be.
Summary: First off, I do get great temps with this cooler. I have an i5 760 @3.2 ghz that is around 55 at full load and the fan about medium with the included fan controller. Cooler is quiet and looks fantastic. I do not reccomend the included thermal paste.
