Criminal rebate scheme

Matthew M., Newegg
1 July 2012
  • Summary: There are plenty of other good fan manufacturers on the market. I'd much rather give my business to one that is deserving.
  • Pros: The fans work
  • Cons: It's been 8 months and still no rebate. I've contacted the Xigmatek corporate office multiple times. They responded at first, but have since started ignoring all emails from me. Now what?

James L., Newegg
17 February 2011
  • Summary: Tried both the 3-pin headers on the board and the 4-pin molex adapter and nothing happened. Must be a great racket selling fans, because if they don't work, you know nobody will bother to send them back for a refund.
  • Pros: Absolutely none.
  • Cons: Was DOA straight out of the box. Not worth RMAing as shipping will be nearly what it was to buy it. Can't give it a "0 egg" rating.

It shrieks like a banshee!

Alan R., Newegg
1 November 2010
  • Summary: I let it run for 24 hours but the sound never abated. Since it was only $10, I probably won't bother with getting a RMA. Disappointing, I have the original fan that started getting a little noisy back in place and I'll just put up with it until my next Newegg order.
  • Pros: Groovy white & Orange colors, moves air.
  • Cons: It's got a piercing whine that easily drowns out a DVD/CDROM drive with a disk spinning at full speed. The whine is TERRIBLE, it's probably a result of a defective bearing and on the whole, these fans are not horrible; it's just that mine is.
