Excerpt: In 2008, Thermaltake released the V1 CPU Cooler which had great features and aesthetics which made it an interesting cooler. Now, Thermaltake has released a revised cooler and named it the V1 AX. The main difference between these coolers is the material. The V1 AX is made of aluminum fins and a copper base while the V1 is made entirely of copper.
Summary: The V1 AX CPU cooler is an impressive cooler, both in looks and performance. It is by far the largest cooler I have ever worked with, and I was initially concerned about its size and whether or not it would fit into my case. It is extremely easy to install (and remove), and as with most socket 775 and 1366 coolers, the locking system is virtually effortless.
Pros: » Great design and performance, » Extremely quiet at low speed, » Mounting brackets for all current processor platforms, » Large 110mm LED fan
Cons: » Short fan control lead, » Need additional tools to change mounting hardware, » Price is on par with high-end aftermarket coolers
