Summary: Has good hardware where it is needed. Unlike some of the other's that leave their products begging for support and retention. Great for all those in need of Intel LGA 775 processor low profile cooling fans.
Summary: I bought this because my old CPU cooler broke during a move and I specifically wanted one that had something other than the plastic easy-install pins. The reason why my old cooler broke was because some of the plastic pins broke off. This cooler comes with a back plate that goes on the other side of the motherboard, which is what the screws attach to.
Summary: works great! alittle loud at first but turned it down at 70 percent in the bios. its like a turnado in there lol keeps my cpu running at 32 degrees c .the reason i give 4 stars i have a c90 coolmaster tower, the back plate on the tower has a spot for a reg fan so i had to cut it out , to install a cross plate that the fan uses to install it. but its in and working great! nice product if u dont have to cut anything out lol. get a pair of snips!!!
Summary: This CPU fan has a strong motor. The fan blade produces a strong sound at higher rpm. When I am on the phone, my ears have to compete with it. The RPM's of the fan increase and decrease according to the cpu temperature. That's a plus. It is a good solid cooler, well built , good quality. It is easy to install, you do need access to the back of the mother board when installing the back plate. I would have given this cooler a five star rating if it was a little quieter.
Summary: I purchased this to replace the stock cooler that came with my PC after noticing that my CPU temps were getting quite warm, to the point where the fan would rev up under heavy loads. I had checked out a number of replacement coolers and was looking for one that would blow the air sideways towards the back of the PC and away from the motherboard.
Summary: I had gotten a Phenom x4 065 BE CPU to upgrade my Inspiron570's Athlon x2 64 in order to play Planetside 2, but the heatsink that came with the Phenom wouldn't fit. I had found that the i570 requires heatsinks that fit an Intel 755 socket. Also, Dell glues a bracket on the back of the motherboard of the 570, which requires the heatsink to be screwed into motherboard.
Summary: Purchased as replacement for a much larger cooler with Intel "pushpins" for mboard install. Found this cooler to be perfect for my application. Cooling capacity is very good, the mounting bracket and "screw in" installation is MUCH more secure than the original cooler.
