Good Heatsink

James S., Newegg
23 July 2013
  • Summary: Temps on my system remain around 27 C unless gaming and then the highest I have observed was 36 C. Very happy with this heatsink.
  • Pros: Geat heatsink for the price. Very quiet. Does a great job cooling my Athlon II X2 270. I used this instead of the OEM heatsink.
  • Cons: None

Excellent standard cooling fan

Anonymous, Newegg
6 January 2012
  • Pros: As I've never had any problems with Thermaltake products, I wasn't surprised that I had none with this purchase. I had ran out of fans in my shop which prompted me to order this fan assembly from newegg. Installation of this fan/heatsink was quick and easy.
  • Cons: None noted

Great Cooler

CHRISTOPHE A., Newegg
24 July 2011
  • Summary: Athlon II? You've found your cooler.
  • Pros: Nothing fancy, lower profile than stock and keeps the processor cool...but I wouldn't use it to cool much more than a 65w processor.
  • Cons: None.

Does it's job and cheap

Anonymous, Newegg
23 April 2011
  • Summary: This was the cheapest heatsink I could find for my AM2 socket CPU. I've purchased Thermaltake heatsinks in the past and have had zero problems with them so far. Can't really comment on the noise, as I have multiple fans in my computer making noise now.
  • Pros: I had no trouble installing this. It was a snap, and came with pre-applied thermal grease. However, there were no detailed installation instructions supplied with the heatsink. The good news is that there are detailed step-by-step, illustrated instructions available on Thermaltake's website.
  • Cons: None thus far.
