Summary: Got this cooler as part of a barebones kit. It does the job for everyday use, but is much noisier than I would like. Especially if you plan to run your CPU under heavy load, consider spending a bit more on something that will help you stay in a more comfortable temperature range.
Summary: needed to get a new cooling fan for an older desktop machine and this one was listed at a great price. Received fan, installed and it was very quiet. works great and performs the job. Would not recommend for a heavy user, or overclocked processor since it is single speed, and small heatsink, but it works well on an every day processing machine.
Summary: I got one of these as part of a bundle. After a few days it started to rattle and vibrate on startup. Eventually it would warm-up and run quietly. Replacement fan does the same thing. I just live with it since it eventually works and pulling it off the chip is a PITA.
Summary: It works but this is a 3 pin connection wich connects to the system not the CPU on the motherboard. So if you want to add a fan for the case make sure it comes with 4 pin connection to the power supply.
Summary: Pros: It's a fan and it does work and cool. Does what it's supposed to do. Cons: Very loud, mine sounds like it's got a playing card stuck in it. Pulled it apart and nothing was in it, it's just loud, I give it maybe a month before it burns out.
