  • Summary: I ran this on my AMD FX-8120 for about a year, it worked well for about 10 months. I had problems with my processor getting to hot and overheating while doing simple tasks, I probably used this heatsink for longer than it was probably intended to be.
  • Pros: Cheap, Cools somewhat decently
  • Cons: Cheaply Made, Can't handle an FX-8120,

Burns up after a year

Nick, TigerDirect.com

  • Summary: I built several barebones systems for a client that came bundled with this heatsink and they ALL burned up after a year. The fan binds up, and if you're handy enough to drill a small hole in the back you can drop some machine oil in there and buy yourself a couple of weeks.

Ignored Customer Support

Komes K., Newegg
24 March 2013
  • Summary: I recommend spending a little more to get better quality. Avoid purchasing this item, since it is known to go bad in a short amount of time.
  • Pros: Good, cheap, and quiet for about 1 month, then starts to get loud.
  • Cons: -Sounds like the bearings are scraping to together. -Emailed Thermaltake customer support with no response for a month and counting. -Bough two of these with the same problem for both.

User Review

Jake M., Newegg

  • Summary: If your looking for a really cheap cooler this is it, but you get what you pay for.
  • Pros: Cheap, works right... after about 5 minutes, came with thermal grease pre applied
  • Cons: was a little frustrating to install, after second day of having upon startup it makes a horrid grinding noise after five minutes it disappears but its something really worth noting.
