Bad luck

Joseph M., Newegg

  • Summary: I assume quality assurance just has to make sure the fan works. I'd imagine they don't have someone in a quiet room spinning the fans to check for noises. However, even with my other case fans (running pretty low RPM) I could easily hear this fan's little "chirp chirp chirp"
  • Pros: Nice long wire, high quality sheathing. Comes with adapter.
  • Cons: Well, as I always do I spun the fan out of the box. Right away I heard something unfriendly. Decided to give it a shot anyway. Plugged it in and as I suspected I had a chirp at low RPM. Took it out right away with the intention of returning it. Also the LEDs were actually quite pink in color, not...

Excellent and Beautiful

  • Summary: I love TK, I'll also will be getting their illuminating keyboard. My first purchase from new egg, And I'm very satisfied.
  • Pros: QUIET, for such a high RPM it's relatively quiet. I bought 2 of these and I'm buying more in around 2 weeks. Excellent air flow. I have one directly blowing against my graphics card from around 4 inches away if that and it's cooled it a whopping 15 degrees C!!!! My MB and CPU are cooled by around...
  • Cons: *This isn't a con at all, just a confusion* Idling noise is louder then performance XD I have them all at performance and they're much quieter with the higher RPM's. I think It;s due to less rattling or friction.

  • Summary: I don't mind noise, but these fans are rather quiet. I want to know my fans are working and cooling my tower, so some noise is good in my opinion. If it gets quiet, fans are dying, and so are the electronics inside the case!
  • Pros: Nice true RED color! Mostly quiet too! the other fans in my case are louder.
  • Cons: Just not quite the CFM I would like. But, I pushed for Red LED fans, and at 80mm this was one of the few affordable (for 80mm case fans) with a non-sleeve bearing. I know part of this is my fault for choosing a case with only 80mm slots, but still, someone make a decent 80mm Red LED fan that can ...

  • Pros: This fan replaced an after market graphics card cooling fan. It is quieter than the original and keep the card just a cool. To much fan noise irritates me so this fan was good mix of cooling and quiet. Plus it looks nice!
  • Cons: N/A

Thermaltake comes through

  • Summary: I've used over 15 of Thermaltake fans (80mm and 120mm) in personal and customer builds, and will continue use them.
  • Pros: Smooth and Quiet for me. LEDs are bright. Cost. Free shipping.
  • Cons: None that I can think of. Never experienced any problems with them.
