amazing cooler

Kurtis K., Newegg

  • Summary: not capable of use on 4 module installations to cool all 4 modules. Not really a con as its inherent to the designed size and functionality. I think of this as an investment. As long as sticks of ram are sticks of ram I should be able to use this on them for years to come in my upgrades just like a...
  • Pros: Unbelievable at cooling my ram. Always feels cool to the touch even overclocked on ortho. Fits well in dual channel config. Why didnt anyone think of this before? Easily installs and if you can get your heat spreader off cleanly it will leave no trace behind so you wont have to worry about warran...
  • Cons: Large size might inhibit wire routing depending on motherboard placement. Thickness and length can make it slightly harder to install in the slot for the fat fingered. Lack of locking tabs/latches or side clips that would keep it from sliding. Never a solid permanent feel.

  • Summary: I'd buy these again.
  • Pros: First of all these coolers definitely do their job (based on touching my overclocked ram under load before and after installation). Second, they look AWESOME!
  • Cons: They really should have some sort of clamping mechanism to keep them attached more firmly to your RAM. The current design leads me to believe they might slide off just a bit over (a long) time.

  • Summary: Very easy to install,They use soft mild sticky thermal pad that does'nt void warranty. No tools needed other then removing you're old heat spreaders. As for the eye candy it wins first prize!
  • Pros: Wow!! the look absolutely sweet in duel channel form. Also you can put a 80 or 92mm fan for extra cooling!Themalright has been putting out some top quality products lately,Two thumbs up to Thermalright!!
  • Cons: most boards now come with 4 slots for ram. These babies take up all four bays.(2 apiece)Not that this is really a con,But should be considered.
