Excerpt: I had heard of the product, but saw little need for it. Recently, due to health concerns I began to use my laptop away from my desk or table. This product has made it possible to utilize the computer without concerns of heat and possibly getting burned. The product is slightly elevated in the rear and provides enough of a tilt to be able to use as a desk. It is very portable and operates quitely.
Excerpt: I have purchased 2 of these and been happy with the quality. Its comfortable on the lap, and does the job of keeping the laptop cool. The only negative thing is that on the second one I purchased, I noticed the rubber feet on the mat get loose and one of them came off the first day I had it. Had to exchange it. Other than that it is working out quite well.
Excerpt: This fits, the neoprene feels good if you use the mat on your lap. Seemed pricey until it was used. We previously used discount chill mats and the difference was quickly apparent. So far, no noise. The others either lit or were noisy. The little lip to hold the laptop in place is also great. No more sliding laptop. I was worried about the angle but, there have been no issues. It seems durable as well. It feels like it is an upgrade, looks good on the desk and works.
Excerpt: Bought this cooling mat because the laptop we have keeps overheating, fan does not work properly. This keeps it much cooler. The only down side is it is a little large and it has to be plugged into a USB hub to power up and down, but it actually works great.
Excerpt: most of the time the fan is quiet but on occasion when i turn on the computer the fan will sound as if it is about to "die"~ it is loud and i need to disconnect it for a while. usually it will return to "normal" after a while. i never know if the chill mat is about to burn out and stop working or what causes this startup sound?
