Cons: The fan is in one particular spot and does not cool down the processor. In fact, it doesn't even cool down the area it fans. I bet I could cool my laptop down better outside in a light spring breeze. That is not even a slight exaggeration.
Summary: I bought this in hopes of keeping my laptop cooler to prevent overheating. It worked amazing at first and I was absolutely thrilled. Within a month or so it stopped doing it's job. I definitely don't feel like I got my money's worth out of it before having to replace it.
Excerpt: Does not cool well. My laptop would overheat and shut down periodically so I bought this more expensive model thinking it should cool better than cheaper ones. Wrong, my laptop still shuts down maybe slightly less often than before.
Excerpt: I bought this item about a week ago, for my Acer laptop that is about 3 years old and tends to overheat. I had an old fan that worked better than this that I spent 10 dollars on. I would not recommend this to anyone. It's fabric makes the overheating worse, and doesn't even cool the laptop.
Cons: Quality, Pricey/Poor Value, Difficult to Use, doesn't work!
Excerpt: My HP G7 Laptop had a defective fan warning on the startup screen. The Staples Tech in Stratford CT store told me he had to send it out for a very expensive $379.00 repair. He Sold me the mat and said try this it might work.
Excerpt: I purchased this item because of the design. I can barely feel any air coming from the fans. My laptop still gets hot and the only good thing is I can keep this under the laptop to keep the heat off my legs but it doesn't cool down the heat.
