Summary: This is a good product and works fine...when it works. Like others, I've had issues with having to wiggle the connector due to an apparent short in the wiring. It still works, for now, but it's getting worse, and I actually found these reviews in coming here to see if Targus offered replacement cables.
Summary: I was very excited once i began using the product because it did what i wanted it to do. however, this was short lived. it broke, contacted customer support received another and it last about as long as the first one. same issue and that is the plug part going into the mat. there is definitely a design and manufacture issue here. would not recommend this to another until this issue is addressed.
Summary: I thought this would really help me out since I use a netbook and am always on the go due to my business travel. Since netbooks aren't top drawer in the heat-sink dept anyway, I knew I needed something portable and easy to use. This chill mat did that and was awesome for the first few weeks (I'd say 6 or 7 to be precise); then it all went wrong. First the fans started working intermittently. I had to use an ink pen to nudge them and then they'd turn again fine.
Summary: I liked it a lot. HP mini ran pretty hot and it certainly worked well to cool it. Unfortunately, while in Israel I had someone else carry by netbook and accessories, and I forgot to get the cord. So now, all I have is something to set my netbook on top of, but it still does a fairly good job at that. This is one of those times I wished the cord had been integrated. My fault, not Targus, doh!
Summary: This thing is a piece of junk. First off, 25$ is about 15$ more than what this product could possibly be worth. The 2 mini fans don't go fast enough to produce the cooling my laptop needs and now the darn thing just doesn't work at all. I would love it if you all would be so kind as to refund my money or give me credit to a better product because this is the most unsatisfied I have ever been with a product,
Cons: only 2 small fans doesn't cool , the rubber "grips" don't grip anything , worked for less than 2 months , way overpriced
Summary: This product is sold in the store. My husband got it because it was the only one Walmart had at the time. If you just as much bump the wire in the back it shuts the fans off, so there is really no way of telling if it's working or not because the laptop is of course covering the pad. When the fans ARE working it helps keep the laptop from being so hot, but not as cool as it should. It's more like warm than cool. I think it's an over priced piece of junk.
Summary: I bought this one in the store about three months ago and it is messed up already. Do not ever buy one of these. I have sent a message to Targus and have not heard anything back. I can not believe I paid over $30 for this thing and a $20 one would be better.
Summary: I had this pad for less than two months it IS sold in stores and sold for nearly 30 dollars, It made far to much noise for how small it is and one side stopped working very soon after I began to use it the other stopped last week. The cord us to long and cumbersome it all it is A WASTE OF MONEY DON'T BUY IT.
