Summary: Over half the comments on here are of people who "jimmy rigged" this product to get it to work.
Pros: It's made by Star Tech, which are usually decent for what you pay.
Cons: Flimsy, a hard drive mount needs to be sturdy so that it can suppress the vibration of the hard drive. There is no instruction booklet in the case or on Star Tech's website and it is not as straight forward as you would think... also loud.
Summary: I would def buy these again for future builds or what not. It delivers as advertised and I can def feel a nice breeze coming into the case, having five installed also helps. It's a useful way of doing something with your unused drive bays.
Pros: It does what it's supposed to, It's Cheap, Has a filter thats washable. What more do you want from a drive bay fan. I have 5 of these in my HAF 932 and it feeds nice cool air to my cpu cooler. It's easy to install and they run fine for the two months I have had them.
Cons: Mounting these things was a slight pain and could have been easier. it was a pain to line them up with the front of my case, so they would sit flush to the front. But it was not brain surgery, maybe adding 30 seconds to the install.
Summary: Get a third fan it is meant to have three. and make sure to get screws to mount it with too.
Pros: Brilliant! I saw the instructions read them installed it in 10 mins and then hooked it all up to go. I took note of being able to have three fans and bought another to take up the vacant space. It dropped the temp on my master hard drive 15 C.
Cons: The two fans that came with it were installed with only two screws, (LAME i mean its not that hard to put in two more for the greater good).
Summary: i was able to reconfigure the pins on the 4 pin molex connector so both fans are running at 7 volt, not so loud and still blows alotta air.also with a lil time and a exacto knife i got the plastic shaved down some so front of case will go back on.plan on having to customize this for your setup
Pros: it worked, blows more air then i figured it would.came with alotta screws to mount it.good concept and helped alot with cooling in my small case
Cons: its loud and it was too wide to get front of my case back on.both fans are wired together with both positives and negatives stacked.cheap sleeve bearing fans
Summary: Has room for a third fan, should be included with one. Overall good product if I hadn't jacked it up.
Pros: The fans are super quiet, it has a clean look and has an easily removable air filter screen to keep dust out.
Cons: The installation is kind of a pain. The cooler is just a tad too tall and too wide so making it fit between your case bezel and your other 5.25" drives takes some time. Also, don't over tighten the screw. They screw into metal nut inserts that are held in by plastic. If you over tighten them, like it did, the nut inserts come lose, but not completely. Now the nut insert just spins but wont tighten, losen or come out.
