Efficient Silence from a Giant: SilverStone Heligon HE02 Processor Cooler Review
17 February 2013
Summary: With almost a kilogram of aluminum and copper SilverStone designed a new cooler, which copes with an overclocked six-core processor without any fans at all! Please, meet the new SilverStone Heligon HE02.
Summary: The Silverstone Heligon HE02 is being sold as a passive heatsink for sub-95W TDP processors, so today on Frostytech we'll put this big, boxy, silent heatsink through its passive paces. No fans will be used in the testing, just good old noise-less convection cooling.
Summary: The SilverStone Heligon HE02 CPU Cooler is massive, comes with a smooth copper base, six 6mm heatpipes & many fins. This product doesn't include with any fans, but one or two 120mm optional can be installed with the included clips.
Conclusion: Passive coolers for high-end CPUs have always been something of a mystery to us. If you're building a high-performance PC your system will be putting out a certain amount of heat and you'll want at least one fan to help keep vital components cool.
