So good.

Jonathan R., Newegg

  • Pros: I have 3 of these fans, they are absolutely fantastic and the knob mount in the card slot is exactly what I needed. Awesome airflow and great adjustability.
  • Cons: Fans make sound. If you can't deal with it, computers might not be for you.

OH SILVERSTONE...

Eric F., Newegg
10 December 2009
  • Summary: I have looked at fan reviews on other sites, lame I know right... But this fan has been rated well by a number of different sites. Just type in Silverstone FM123 fan reviews and you will see.
  • Pros: Great fan... *Speed Control *White Color *Nice CFM *2 Ball Bearing *Reliable *NO LEDS THANK YOU
  • Cons: Price. But worth it if you think about how long it will last. Could also reuse for your next build.

Excellent!

  • Summary: I bought these for my first-time build, and I am very satisfied. My processor runs hot, but these have no trouble keeping my box cool. I recently put in a 10k RPM hard drive, and it runs ice cold (literally) behind the fan running 40%. I will definitely stick with SilverStone in the future.
  • Pros: They were relatively easy to install. Everything is well-built and sturdy. Speed control works like a charm. I bought 2 of these and a 3rd 80mm, and hooked then all up to the same speed control panel with some effort to get the tabs out. It moves a lot of air quietly - sometimes it feels like an ...
  • Cons: It gets loud at full speed, but I have no reason to ever need that much air flow.

Nice

Gregory S., Newegg
26 March 2009
  • Pros: No LEDs and comes with a fan controller. The fan controller has space for 2 other dials, so I'm assuming if you pick up three of these fans, you can control them all from one spot. Fan is very quiet on low to about half, after that it becomes audible from under my desk. Doesn't need to be turned ...
  • Cons: Controller install in a PCI slot location. Take over an x1 slot that isn't being used and it isn't a problem.

GREAT!

Stephanie S., Newegg
25 March 2009
  • Summary: It would be nice if it came in different colors, like black? Would be nice if it had a 4 pin connection instead of just the 3 pin. I wanted to use this fan as a CPU Fan, and it would be nice if it had that 4th pin.
  • Pros: Quiet! Great Construction. Tons of air movement. Easy to install (I mean, its a fan; How hard could it be?) Controller Switch controls RPM but also has an Off. Knob and Plate are made of Aluminum, not some cheap plastic that will break. Cables are were long enough to reach across my entire full t...

POWERFUL

Joe G., Newegg
29 January 2009
  • Summary: Have four of these installed. Moved speed knobs to front of case. drilled four holes in 5.25 emptly face plate. Moved the rotary controls to this bay to adjust from front without buying additional fan speed controller.
  • Pros: High output 3 pin adjustable fan. Comes with rotary know speed control. Silent until 2000 rpm. At full rpm you hear them, but it's not bad. You can't move a lot of air without a tradeoff.
  • Cons: Only comes in White

very good product

Michael L., Newegg
19 January 2009
  • Summary: It is white and isn't "pretty" but I bought a working fan to effectively move air - that is what it does. The speed knob bracket gives the opportunity to slip it into an unused expansion bay but you aren't "required" to do that.
  • Pros: I bought one of these as an exhaust fan for an X-qpack (original version) case. It is perfect in this application. The variable speed allows a fine tune for air flow vs. noise. It runs very quiet while moving a lot of air. Mine is now over 1 1/2 years old and has worked every day for hours with n...

Silverstone FM123

Francisco R., Newegg
30 November 2008
  • Summary: I would definitely buy more of these fans. Silentx is no longer my favorite, they prove to be more noise than air.
  • Pros: Pretty powerful, it pushes a lot of air and not that noisy.
  • Cons: One of the two fans was actually missing the fan connector and fan control! RMA time. You also can't use the fan without the fan control, sort of wished you could use it without it.
