Summary: The plastic feels a little chintzy for the price, and the filter could be finer, but all in all this is not a bad filter. FYI the plastic finish is shiny, in case you are putting this somewhere highly visible.
Summary: Love this product! I used this to clean up the installation of a stereo in a teardrop camper that I'm building, so I installed PC fans into the console and finished them off with these grills! It looks fantastic and lends a professional look to my installation!
Summary: Even though the grill is plastic, it does the job just as well as a metal grill, and the plastic is very well made. The internal dust filter catches loose pet hair and larger dust. I consider dust filters essential for any fans on the direct bottom or top of the case (to stop falling dust or dust from the surface the computer is resting on). This is a stylish, cheap solution for 80mm fans.
Summary: I was surprised that quite so _MUCH_ dust was entering my system through that small 80mm fan. This certainly blocked it out. Airflow was decreased by a noticeable amount, but this is to be expected. Luckily this is pretty easily cleaned.
Summary: Bought them, installed them, and they seem to collect dust because I have to vacuum them off once a month, but it still gets dusty inside my case. It helps. It's cheap. I would go for it if you're wondering if you should.
Summary: This product is basically made of 2parts: a plastic honeycomb-pattern grille which forms the frame, and a fine mesh plastic filter welded underneath, it's the type of washable filter you would find in an air conditioner. It has a solid feel to it and should last a long time and could be easily cleaned by washing or vacuuming. The regular price is a bit steep though. Much better wait for a sale to buy it.
