Pretty good

Nick, Amazon
18 November 2013
  • Summary: The plastic feels a little chintzy for the price, and the filter could be finer, but all in all this is not a bad filter. FYI the plastic finish is shiny, in case you are putting this somewhere highly visible.

Professional look.

Anthony Benavidez, Amazon
9 October 2013
  • Summary: Love this product! I used this to clean up the installation of a stereo in a teardrop camper that I'm building, so I installed PC fans into the console and finished them off with these grills! It looks fantastic and lends a professional look to my installation!

Does its job

Captain Kiwi, Amazon
8 July 2013
  • Summary: Even though the grill is plastic, it does the job just as well as a metal grill, and the plastic is very well made. The internal dust filter catches loose pet hair and larger dust. I consider dust filters essential for any fans on the direct bottom or top of the case (to stop falling dust or dust from the surface the computer is resting on). This is a stylish, cheap solution for 80mm fans.

Does the job

Kurtis S Whittington, Amazon
5 July 2013
  • Summary: I was surprised that quite so _MUCH_ dust was entering my system through that small 80mm fan. This certainly blocked it out. Airflow was decreased by a noticeable amount, but this is to be expected. Luckily this is pretty easily cleaned.

Don't screw it in too hard

I. Guch, Amazon

  • Summary: This item works as advertised, but if you screw it in just a little too hard the plastic will crack.

Good filter

H. E. Castro Alvarez "Sigh...", Amazon
31 January 2013
  • Summary: I live in a very dusty house, I sincerely don't know how so much dust can get in it. This filters aren't a perfect dust trap but they have definitely made a world of difference. Cleaning my PC enclosure is so much easier and faster because so little dust gets in. I used to have a simple grill and compared to that this filter reduced airflow noticeably but it's worth the trade off, I just added more fans with filters and I'm better off now.

Mission Accomplished

Anthony Dufresne, Amazon
11 August 2012
  • Summary: I have a Shuttle computer that required additional air flow after installing a GTX 560 OC video card. The card effectively blocked the side vents in the area it was installed. I used a 2 1/2" chassis punch to create two openings in the cover and installed the Silverstone grill over the holes. Problem solved. Nice touch was that the grills included four self taping mounting screws of the perfect size and depth.

Works.

John Carr, Amazon
23 May 2012
  • Summary: This came with mounting screws and works well. However it blocks more air flow than I expected. So unless you really need to block dust and can afford to lose air flow go with another solution.
