Summary: Cheaper in price than in build quality imo. If the remaining channels continue working for me, it was worth the purchase. If, however, more channels burn out, I will update with results.
Pros: Comes with wiring extensions for all eight channels, all of which are compatible with 4pin PWM type fans. Blue LEDs match case lighting, fits 3.5in opening.
Cons: One of the channels doesn't work (channel 7.) All the other channels work fine. I could be mistaken, but after I installed it, I'm fairly certain I seen the fan on that channel spinning briefly, but after a few seconds, noticed it was off.
Summary: Knobs can come off with a simple pull, its like jet black gloss anodized, wierd material. My case is plain anodized black aluminum so it stands out a bit unfortunately. I think id like this thing more if the range of use was bigger, as in speed % from say 10-100%, but its more like 50-70%.
Pros: Looks good, controls the number of fans that i needed, no annoying LEDs, got the job done.
Cons: Not a huge range of speed adjustment, its like, medium, to medium-high, guess i was expecting a more dramatic difference. Doesnt extend to the back of the 3.5 slot, so its only being held in with 2 screws because my case blocks the front screws, one of those screw holes is stripped, which severel...
Pros: Just what I wanted in a fan speed controller. Fits perfect in floppy drive bay that was never gonna get used anyways, lol.
Cons: Channel 1 died after about a week from installation. Thank goodness I was only using 3 channels, so just moved on fan to another channel. If another dies, I'm out of luck and may possibly look into another brand for fan speed controllers.
