  • Summary: At least we would assume all that is accurate after testing the Scythe Infinity heatsink... The Infinity is a big heatsink for sure; it stands 155mm tall, 125mm wide and about 114mm deep with its 120mm 1200RPM fan. The scale tips at 960 grams, or just short of a kilogram.

Scythe Infinity CPU Cooler

DragonSteelMods

  • Conclusion: To get peak performance from modern CPUs requires quality cooling. The hotter the CPU gets, the higher the chance for issues to arise, especially when overclocking. The Scythe Infinity offers excellent cooling performance at near whisper quiet levels. There are some trade offs involved with a massive heatsink, such as the weight of the device and the risk of damaging the motherboard or some components if you move your PC frequently.

Scythe Infinity

  • Summary: The Scythe Infinity is one big mother of a cooler. It offers awesome cooling performance and is a real alternative to watercooling. In the past when I was testing at high overclocks I often had to install watercooling just to be sure the CPU air cooling is not limiting the overclock. Now I can just install the Scythe Infinity and get very similar results with much less time involved.
  • Pros: Excellent performance, Very easy installation, Quiet, Wide compatibility, Fan can be replaced, Looks great, Good price for the offered performance
  • Cons: Big - will not fit small form factor cases, Heavy, Not cheap

All Tests

  • Excerpt: Update: 07.08.07 ) Das Ungeheuer?
  • Pros: sehr gute Kühlleistung , hochwertige Verarbeitung, super leichte Montage, Lieferumfang
  • Cons: nichts Negatives
