Pros: Brought CPU (Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9550 @ 2.83GHz) temp down from 24 degrees C to 12 degrees C at idle. Installation with push pins actually worked quite well without excessive pressure on MoBo.
Pros: Very quiet. E6750 at idle runs at 31C and 550 RPM and and is whisper quiet. At full load only goes up to 50C and 1100 RPM and still very little noise. This compares to 38/70C and 800/2200 RPM with the stock HSF. Excellent for HTPC use in small In Win IW-BK623 "Jade Mountain" case (item N82E16811108092).
Cons: Thin plastic coupled with a terrible packing job on the part of newegg resulted in the fan shroud being cracked in one place along the top. A little super glue fixed it right up.
Cons: Included "push-pin" heatsink mounting system. This fan is made with the std Intel designed push-pin mounting, which forces the fan heat sink so tight against the CPU that it ends up bending the board (Biostar TPOWER for Intel). Not the fault of the MB or of this Rosewill - but the Intel design! The CPU included Intel fan did the same thing. I have read many other reviewers complaining of same concern on many different boards and coolers. It just does not seem OK to pu...
Pros: Very Quiet, Solid (You can feel it in it's weight), Better than my E8400 Stock's fan (Stock fan ran at 40C, this runs at 31-32C idle), moves a good amount of air. Runs at 55C full use (using the CPU Stability Heat Warming test after 10 minutes)
Cons: Shipping is a bit expensive for a small product like this.
