Believe the hype- cateogry leading performance

Anonymous, Newegg
13 December 2015
  • Summary: There's a reason that the Phanteks and the Noctua D15 are considered the best air coolers on the market, outperforming AIOs in some tests while producing less overall noise because of the lack of the noise from a pump. But with that great performance comes massive size.
  • Pros: - Performance: Borderline unbelievably good. 2+ hours of Prime95 on a 6600k OC'd to 4.5Ghz and CPU temp never broke 50C. Under normal load, CPU is typically below 40C. I never would've expected it, but the TC14PE exceeds the hype. - Build quality: included fans are quiet, the heat sink feels soli...
  • Cons: - Size: I don't see this as a con, really, just as something to be aware of. To get category leading performance, you need mass and surface area. That means a gigantic, heavy cooler. On an Asus Maximus VIII Hero with G. Skill ripjaws DDR4 3000, I had to remove the mobo's read cosmetic plastic she...

Quality heatsink

Zachary S., Newegg
1 December 2015
  • Pros: This heatsink performs. I was able to O.C. my i7 4790k to 4.8GHz and stressed it for 8hrs, highest temp reading was 80c. I'd highly recommend this cooler if you don't want to go liquid.
  • Cons: Freaking huge, larger than your head. Absolutely need to check your measurements for clearance over your RAM. I have a NZXT Phantom PHAN-002OR and had to remove the grill on the side panel to have this heatsink fit.

Great product

George K., Newegg
21 November 2015
  • Summary: This is a very large CPU cooler. Be sure that it will fit in your case before purchase. It should fit in most full-size and some mid-size cases. I would highly recommend comparing the provided measurements against those of your computer case.
  • Pros: Excellent heat dissipation and low maintenance for a good price. Top-tier air cooler. Outperforms any self-contained water cooling unit in it's price range. Relatively large tube of thermal paste included. Very happy with the product. I'll likely extend it's use to my next build, provided I have ...
  • Cons: On arrival there was a slight bend, maybe five degrees or so on one set of heat pipes connecting of the fin towers to the base block, which made it difficult to install the center fan. It was packaged well enough that I'm certain it came out of the factory that way. It took care to straighten the...

Great Cooler.. But...

Jason P., Newegg
6 November 2015
  • Summary: I will suggest this cooler to anyone and everyone I ever speak to. (After I explain how difficult it is to install though lol)
  • Pros: Very nice cooler. Looks amazing for my build, I have a specific color theme throughout and this cooler was the only one on the market that is what I was looking for. If I had to pick just 1 item that I liked the looks of the most, It'd be this CPU cooler BY FAR. The fans seem very high quality an...
  • Cons: I will never, never in my life, install this for anyone. Not only will I not install it, but if for any reason I need to take it off and put it back on, I will be doing so in a computer shop and paying someone else to do it. The instructions were not 100% clear, and a bit confusing. Putting on th...

BIG, VERY BIG. But also very good.

James S., Newegg
18 September 2015
  • Summary: This is probably the best Air Cooler I have ever had. Dont get my wrong, I love my Hyper 212 Evo, and it was a darn fine cooler. This thing is a whole different level. Just buy it. Heck, buy TWO and save a friend some pain!
  • Pros: 1. Cool Lookin' 2. Easy to install 3. VERY EFFECTIVE COOLER FOR OC 4. You can add another fan if you need more chill. 5. Watching a movie, writing this review, and defragging a HDD.... My 4790 is idling at 34C (That's like 93F) 6. When I game I hit like 40C. 7. When I OC the DICKENS out of the CP...
  • Cons: 1. Freakin Huge. 2. Some assemble required. The instructions could be better.... but get the job done. 3. This thing takes up a lot of case real estate. MEASURE before you BUY!
