Summary: My Mobo didn't have enough fan connectors for my new case so I decided to give this a try. Chose this over the touchscreen versions after reading that the touchscreens die quickly. The mesh front isn't even close to a real mesh, just plastic made to look like mesh, but blends fairly well with the mesh on my case (Antec Nine Hundred). Looks cheaply manufactured (what appears to be hot glue is holding some things together), but once it's in your case you can't really tell.
Summary: I bought the basic NZXT Sentry Mesh Fan Controller (with the sliders). I have 5 case fans and only about 3 fan ports on my mobo. It's got a simple basic look that I like and is easy to use. Installation was quick and painless... other than a little wire management issues due to my case. The wiring from the controller had more than enough length, so that was really helpful.
Summary: I just got this fan controller from amazon and installed on my rig. Its better than expected. Here are some of the points that i did not find in other reviews: The sliders have a nice smooth feel to them. Thats good and it does feel expensive. The wires are all black in color. Much better than the red and yellow wires that some other fan controllers have. Although there is mesh design in the front, there is no real mesh. i.e there is a solid plate behind the mesh.
Summary: Powers 5 fans with one molex. It did what I expected it to do. One thing that scared me was the molex (in my case) was falling apart. The pins were uneven in place and I dont know if that is normal. It still works but just a little heads up. This is one of the better, if not best, fan controllers on the market for its price. I recommend it!
Summary: This product works well with my Cooler Master Sickleflow case fans. It has a slick look and the sliders feel very solid. Very easy installation, and the cables are long enough to route around the case. Now my system is whisper quiet even if the fans only go down to 40%. Who needs 0% anyways? 0%=no airflow I dropped 1 star because: 1. When the knobs are set at the middle, it creates a coil whine effect. It is noticeable when your fans are really quiet at ~60%.
Summary: As expected, this controls up to 5 fans from 40% to 100%. Yes, it does. In both my mid-towers the supplied wires are long enough to connect to any fan in the case, making cable management better than without this since you also don't need to use a MB fan connection. The only caveat is that the circuit board for this is just as high as the sides. This means it could and likely will catch on the 5.25 frame front if you mount it in the top-most bay.
Summary: I love the sliders, if they all worked it would be fantastic. It's cool being able to control your fans like you're throttling up an airplane. However; the product I received has I'm guessing a defective slider that's extremely hard to move. It's not too much of a problem since I only have 4 of the 5 sliders in use now anyways.
Summary: Installed easily, no battery problems @ 1 month. 3-wire fans are a must. Am running 4 fans on Auto, usually 700 to 1000 rpm. Switch to Maual when doing heavy stuff...fans set @ 1,400 rpm. Works great, alarm sounds very rarely. Contrary to most reviews, quite happy with it.
Summary: This is probably one of the better fan controllers on the market, considering 90% of the fan controllers on the market are terrible. For 28 bucks, this is a pretty good deal. Ill break down the good and bad below: Pro's: -good price -works fine -lcd is cool to look at -controls all my fans perfectly -temp is more or less accurate -Easy to install/use Con's: -Creates a huge mess of wires -Wires are superglued to controller, so when taking it out, u have to take out all...
