great until I needed more than one fan

Anonymous, Newegg
30 September 2015
  • Pros: -looks great, single bay -easy to conceal cables -temps for case are somewhat accurate -low price -NZXT
  • Cons: oh where to start. I couldn't find out how to disable the awful beeping sound when I press it. not too much of a con. here's where it gets bad. one fan? no problem. two fans? eh. one is always powered (like it should) the second is pumping power in and out resulting in a clicking sound. my power ...

Needs Big Improvements.

Joel L., Newegg
6 June 2015
  • Summary: I would buy the third generation. If I could, I would exchange it for the newer version because this thing keeps resetting. Occasionally will say Fahrenheit on the Celsius scale and vice versa. This has only occurred twice. Back light on thermometer makes it very hard to see during the day.
  • Pros: *Good Quality *Can Be Silenced from Beeping *Retains Settings on Power Loss *5 3/4 Pin Hookups with Adapters *5 Thermometers
  • Cons: *Alarm Beeps for No Reason Despite Being 30 degrees below warning temp *Skips from 0 to 40% Fan SPeed *Doesn't work with my led fans. Can not provide enough power on automatic to make it light up. * Have to repeatedly tap to push buttons * Randomly resets when I reboot my computer about 10% of th...

User Review

Zachery C., Newegg
17 April 2015
  • Pros: Its neat. It reads the temperature.
  • Cons: I'm not actually sure it does anything. I can't seem to make changes. Its neat to show me the temperature in 5 different spots though, but it seems the fans are always on 100% regardless of what the device says.

led fans flicker

Anonymous, Newegg
1 December 2014
  • Pros: looks cool
  • Cons: i had this controller for the purpose of running 5 fans at some point. i ran just 2 fans off of it for a while but recently i added 3 more and in turn all fans running off this controller flicker at the same time about 2 to 3 seconds apart. sucks because it is very distracting other than that it ...

Lacking Control in Auto

Craig S., Newegg
23 September 2014
  • Summary: The product would be much better if the auto mode had selectable low/high temperature points and fans speeds. As is, it will not work in my application. And being able to have some fans manually controlled while others auto controlled would help.
  • Pros: Allows temperature sensing and manual control of up to 5 individual sensors and fans.
  • Cons: For auto control, you are unable to set low and high speed temperature points along with their fan speeds. Only uses some unknown, un-settable, pre-set temperature points and fan speeds. Cannot have some fans manual control and others on auto. The manual is very unclear on these issues.

Works but cheap

Donna C., Newegg
20 September 2014
  • Pros: Works, has 3 pin & molex connectors, easy to use, somewhat accurate temperature reads, low price. It's fully operational and is powering 5 fans with somewhat accurate temp reads. Awesome for those who don't mind cheap or have a tight budget.
  • Cons: If i would have known how cheaply made it was gonna be i would not have purchased it. it took me over an hour to get this fan controller to work. It also came with a bird's nest of cables. I had to bend some of the pins in the main molex power connector just to get it to work. A couple of the 3 p...

disappointed

Michelle S., Newegg
12 September 2014
  • Summary: if it worked it would be great.
  • Pros: Screen looks cool and does turn fans on
  • Cons: Cant switch it to manual. says you can but it doesnt work. so my fans stay at 60% no matter what. Living in fl that doesnt work well. Need 100% gaming and most can be off while just watching movies.

Unreliable

Riley S., Newegg
28 August 2014
  • Pros: Looks nice. Easy to customize. Set up was easy. When it worked it was great.
  • Cons: After about six months of use, any time the internal temperature of the case starts going up the controller cuts power to the fans! If you nudge the wires leading to the fan it typically will regain connection, however that is not a long term fix as it always goes back out a bit later. Basically ...

Need to Revise My Previous Review

Thomas R., Newegg
20 July 2014
  • Summary: I thought that maybe I had a noisy power supply for one of the RMAs, but when I got the new unit back, the temperature is only jumping around a couple of degrees, and it is not too bad. Is stable on some of the channels.
  • Pros: Looks good on the front of the case. Works well when they work. Can control 2 pin fans.
  • Cons: Previously, I gave 5 eggs and a grand review of this item. I must of gotten lucky on the first one that i bought because I bought three more of them, but it has not gone so well. Of the three that I bought, I have had to RMA 2 of them back to Newegg (not Newegg's fault at all). The two units that...

User Review

Tsung T., Newegg
20 June 2014
  • Pros: looks cool, cheap, comes with heat sensors.
  • Cons: The thing is... what you pay is what you get. When i got it it did everything as advertised. everything worked perfectly... for a couple of months. One day the screen just stopped displaying properly. I could still press the screen and make things work but it was all based on memory and guess wor...
