Summary: THE CONTROLLER LOOKS GREATS AND FITS THE THEME OF MY BUILD. MADE GETTING THE FANS SET JUST RIGHT EASY. BUT AFTER TWO MONTHS THE #5 CONTROL IS FAULTED OUT SAYING THE FAN IS NOT WORKING WHEN IS FACT IT IS. I AM STILL USING IT BUT HAVE SILENCED IT SO I DON'T HAVE TO HEAR THE ALARM BEEPS FOR A THE FAULTY CONTROL ON THE #5. 5/6/2013 JUST A QUICK UPDATE. I HAVE SINCE CHANGED MY FANS OUT FOR BETTER COOLER THEN WHAT I WAS RUNNING AT THE TIME.
Summary: Today fan controller is going in the trash. I can honestly say it never worked quite right. Half of the time it wouldn't go on when I booted. Today an alarm went off and it died. When I unplug all the fans and plug them directly into the power supply they work. Its the controller that died. Save your money and get something that is more reliable.
Summary: The NZXT Sentry 2 is quite an eye-candy, but only 2 days after its installation the temperature sensors stopped working and only display "--" where the numbers should be, causing the Auto mode to be always at a 100% speed for all fans. I can't return it since I'm in another country and shipping expenses are almost the same as the cost of the controller, so I'll bear with it. Tried to contact NZXT anyway, but they never replied (Via their website nor by email).
Summary: I bought this controller and installed it fine. My fans became louder and one case fan started to squeal. I put up with the added noise due to the nice controller. It worked great for 8 months and then just shut down one day. All my fans stopped. I plugged all fans back into the motherboard to bypass the controller with success and could not believe how quite my case became. I was using a cooler master case with cooler master and enermax fans.
Summary: I have used this fan controller for approximately two weeks. It's an affordable fan controller stocked by Amazon, and it does make the fans slow down and return them to full speed again. Unfortunately the LCD/touch screen is a critical point of failure on my unit. Slowly, points on the LCD began to no longer light up. The Speed Bar on the bottom would only light up partly. Some of the fan number icons stopped lighting up.
Summary: Despite what the material says, this unit is NOT compatible with all fans! NZXT is apparently "working" on a solution to the insane noises it makes the Cool Master fans do, but until they fix it, I would hold off on buying this. This is the link to the thread on their official forum: [...] On the other hand, it works great with my Noctura NF-P12s that I use on the CPU. Looks awesome too, just wish it worked with my OTHER FIVE FANS!!!
NZXT Sentry 2 - Misses the point of a fan controller

Summary: I have been in search of a computer fan controller which meets a few basic criteria (see below) After reading countless Google searches product reviews (good and bad) I have come to the conclusion that there just aren't many fan controllers made that are truly useful. I bought a unit which was made poorly and broke after a couple of months, I then found the "Lian-Li TR-5B" controller which meets most of my criteria and is working fine after 2 months of service.
