Summary: Replaced a stock Intel HSF on an I7-2600k. Running at stock speeds (for now). Idle temps stayed the same. Under load, stock HSF ran 42C, the Noctua runs 32C. Both fans were run at max (gonna play with BIOS settings if and when I try to overclock) and the Noctua is quieter (but not silent, obviously, at max speed). Would buy again, in fact, I may replace all the coolers in my SFF mITX systems with this one.
Pros: My first Noctua HSF. I wish they would make water coolers. I need water cooling on my primary desktop, but would love to run all Noctua coolers in all of my systems, based on my experience with this one alone. The packaging probably adds to the price of the unit, but when you open the box, you will be wowed. Elegant, professional. The unit itself is heavy (stout) and much thinner than I imagined. Left me more room in my Silverstone case than I had thought.
Cons: Price. But you get what you pay for. Certainly not worth knocking an egg off.
Summary: I would definitely recommend this unless you run into the problem where the heat sink air flow gets boxed by the ram , the gpu and motherboard heat sink which defeats the purpose of the cooling the cpu
Pros: Small form factor simple square shape only 37mm high including fan great air flow for a fan thats 120mm very quiet fan noctua quality build
Cons: pulls air in and you need to purchase other screws to invert the fan works better for 65 watt cpus doesn't handle heat as well as a more beefed up noctua
Summary: This cooler was purchased for a custom pc build inside of an NES; space was at a premium, and airflow was low, however, this cooler has really pulled through! there is no trouble with my ram modules, and it leaves lots of room from the top of the case; almost being shorter than my standard height ram modules! absolutely wonderful product.
Pros: - Quiet (with low noise adapter included) - Provided thermal paste and mounting solutions are rock solid and easy to install. - Beautiful packaging and build quality - Extremely low profile, absolutely no problems from height of the cooler, and no ram interference.
Summary: Overall awesome cooler. Very pleased with the results, my CPU runs a lot cooler than stock. As expected, excellent quality from Noctua.
Pros: I bought this to replace the stock cooler for my Core i5 processor and the low profile design made it fit perfectly on my Mini ITX board inside my Corsair Obsidian 250D. The easy to install mounting system made the entire installation process painless. The low noise adapter was a nice touch although I didn't end up using it. The quality is excellent as I've noticed a 10 degrees drop in idle CPU temperature when operating the cooler at full speed.
Cons: I haven't encountered any problems with this so far, although it does tend to make a fair bit of noise at full power which was required when gaming.
Summary: For my purposes, it works incredibly. But I'm sure it is not enough for actual gaming. But for anyone looking for a silent computer to run daily tasks or a Home theatre setup, this cpu cooler is a must buy.
Pros: Easiest cpu cooler I have ever installed. The packaging was incredible. Everything was neatly packed in the box and the first thing I said was "WOW". Now, for my HTPC, I have had no reason to run benchmarks and such, so I can't tell you how well it would perform under a full load. but I have the Intel Pentium G3258 and it keeps it at around 25C when just doing it's normal tasks like running media center for me. Now onto the best part. The fan itself. I have never hear...
Summary: Requires screwing the cpu cooler underneath the motherboard. Tip: when installing the cooler, put the mother on top of and between two objects to hold the center of the motherboard above the ground. Then you can apply the compound, cpu, and then screw the cpu cooler underneath the motherboard without any problems.
Pros: Extremely well crafted. You can see the quality. And completely fixed the cooling problems I had when I built a new computer using the stock cpu cooler.
Summary: So I literally just got this baby installed around 10 minutes ago. It replaced a stock cooler for an i5-4690k. This is my first build and I went with the ASUS Z97I Plus mobo. When I installed the stock cooler I didnt really understand the way the push and twist plastic pins works and I snapped the little sleeve the pins go through on the fan housing. My temps were running around 73 to 90c, so I shut the pc off investigated and figured out the problem.
Pros: Fits nice, easy to seat, nice packaging, heavy construction heatsink, stellar paste
Summary: I bought this cooler to replace the H100i in my Corsair Air 240. The H100i was great, but the Corsair link software was nothing but headaches. I wanted to go back to the simplicity of air cooling, but there were only a couple of air coolers that would fit my motherboard and case. I chose this one because it is the best one available that also fit in my rig. I have this cooler installed over an i5 4670k on an MSI Z87i Gaming AC mITX motherboard.
Pros: - Quiet at lower fan speeds - Super low profile - Simple to install - Decent cooling performance, even with mild overclocks
Summary: Packaging was fantastic. The heatsink has a great weight to it and feels of very good quality. I was really happy to see all the attention to detail they put into this thing. Easiest install ever. Simply plop it on your motherboard and screw it in from the back. Was a relief how easy install was as larger ones can be a huge pain. Cooling is good, but not amazing. Albeit I'm using a CPU with a good amount more power than it's spec'd for - the i7 4790k.
