Too noisy

Michael M., Newegg
13 January 2014
  • Pros: Easy mount. Good CPU cooling. Very low height.
  • Cons: Is louder than stock Intel cooler. I purchased this cooler for a HTPC and was disappointed with the fan noise. The only time the cooler is quiet is at idle. When playing media or at the desktop, the cooler makes more noise than the stock Intel cooler with no significant reduction in cooling. For a low case htpc or server the device might be usable, but avoid for a reasonable height case.

Louder than the factory one
