Totaly silent

Alain A., Newegg
24 March 2015
  • Pros: Easy to install. Silent. Very efficient cooling kit. Excellent design and awesome quality package. Noctua is Noctua, what can you expect more?
  • Cons: One thing, color needs to be changed but it is its trademark. You know it's a Noctua when you see the beige-brown fans.

it is cool, and it is VERY low

Carolyn L. Mcmanamy "Ken", Amazon
23 March 2015
  • Summary: Noctua is famous for quiet, efficient, well-engineered computer cooling solutions. I needed a very low profile cooler for a Home Theater PC. This is a beast! It is quiet, it is cool, and it is VERY low. In order to position this, the heatpipes had to be facing my ram slots.

Great product

C. Sutton, Amazon
17 March 2015
  • Summary: Amazing! Near silent even if you don't use the resistor cables to slow the fan speed down. Great cooling for such a low profile cooler. Looks awesome as well. Amd installation is very easy. Don't necessarily need to take the motherboard out but it made things a little easier.

Great cooler!

Amazon Customer, Amazon
16 March 2015
  • Summary: I installed this over an Intel Core i5-4690K on an EVGA Z87 Stinger miniITX board within a tiny NCASE M1 case. It only fit one way -- heat pipe elbows up -- which is an orientation not recommended by Noctua, but the cooling performance is excellent anyway, and almost unbelievably quiet even with...

I found it easy enough to install

C. Blair, Amazon
25 February 2015
  • Summary: Replaced a cooler with a deficient and very noisy fan which was resulting in excessive CPU temps and the resulting problems that attend. Minimal noise now at top settings for fan rotations. I found it easy enough to install.

is it even on (super quiet)

David.Vick, Amazon
20 February 2015
  • Summary: Almost inaudible, I have very sensitive hearing and I can barely hear it. Very low GPU temps amd 6300-fx unlocked clocked at 4.2 GHz. I could not achieve 4.5 GHz but, I don't thinks its the heatsink or fans fault. Will buy noctua again, but not individual case fans.

Just what I needed

nathan r., Newegg
6 February 2015
  • Summary: after a couple days of getting baseline temperature and noise readings, I will begin overclocking and find out what this thing can really do. But under the heaviest load I have given it, the temperature varied about 3ºc, and there was no audible difference.
  • Pros: Extremely quiet unit, with an incredibly easy install. Very effective when compared to the stock fan. AMD-8350 chip stock fan kept processor at a steady 60ºC (about 40ºC over ambient) under normal operation with no OC, and would run upwards of 65dB in noise which is ridiculous, could hear it thro...
  • Cons: no cons at this time.

excellent mounting system make installing this a breeze

D. Ta, Amazon
14 December 2014
  • Summary: Noctua is the king of the fan / heatsink space. You pay a premium price for their products and in return, you receive a premium product. Sane, well written and organized manual (step by step), concise and clear instructions, and excellent mounting system (including alternate screws for mITX...
