Summary: This was a good deal for the money and the only air cooler I could find that would comfortably fit inside a 3U rack-mount case. Does a pretty good job at cooling the CPU and the case's top is perforated which helps dissipate the any heat inside the case. I'm going to kid the case and replace this with a H100 water cooler which I'll have to actually mount the radiator assembly outside the case but there's a huge difference in temps with water over air.
Summary: Yes, Yes this fan is quiet and does keep my AMD 8320 a little cooler, at about 95 Fahrenheit. Before it was running at 110. I receive my cooler quicker than I thought and the quality is fantastic!!
Summary: I have several of these purchased about 2 years apart. Never had any issues and could have just re-used the original one, but you know, when you rebuild, you want that CPU cooler to shine. Don't steer towards the fancy and gaudy, they all tend to be sub-par. With the small fan at the bottom, they have perfected this design and provided nearly universal use as long as you keep all the part that come with it and instructions, lol.
Summary: I have this mounted on an AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core Processor Black Edition. With both fans turned over to push air up (stock the come set to push air down) and the low noise adapters you cannot hear it at all outside of my Silverstone Tek GD07B case and the processor still stays on average of 7 degrees cooler than with the stock cooler running games (Sleeping Dogs, Battlefield 4, Titanfall) that sounded like a hair dryer when running at full speed.
Summary: I initially purchased the monolithic CoolMaster EVO 212 because I wanted to overclock. Man, that thing is huge! My HTPC case sits horizontally and doesn't quite have the room for a 160mm fan. This fan met my requirements and it's nice and quiet, even with both fans at full speed. I had some question about mounting and product support (via email) was excellent!
Summary: I love this, its bigger than I imagined and looks like an engine from the right angle. You can use one or two fans and the detach easily without bending anything, EVERYTHING is included from thermal paste to and and intel mounting gear they even include a Noutica metal sticker to attach to your case or whatever. Defenitly Recommend it, I personally think its cooler than liquid cooling. But I thing I will liquid cool my GPU.
Summary: I was using the stock air cooler on an i5 3750k IvyBridge CPU, and not only is it silent but it runs very cool. Using this on a Z77 Sabretooth Asus MB, mounted on in a Corsair 540 and temps stay around 30 degrees C under a pretty decent load.
