Summary: I had such high hopes for this cpu cooler.. I wanted something extremely quiet and all these reviews have stated that I was going to get just that; silent. But nothing. This is louder than my old CPU cooler, a Cooler Master V8, and a tad more expensive too. Ugh.
Summary: First, this cooler does a very good job with overclocked processors. You can go and read online how well it performs against other CPU coolers, it's usually at the top. This was my second purchase for this cooler. The first went in a home pc. It's pretty quiet and moves a ton of air.
It's just okay and it requires some special modifications and attention to detail plus ongoing maintenance

Summary: It cools better than a lot of the liquid coolers on the market today and without the worry about a coolant leak. On the okay side are the following things. 1) if you move your PC you must first uninstall the CPU cooler as the warning label says Noctua cannot be held responsible should damage occur...
Pros: Great CPU temps for air cooling, easy install on LGA2011
Cons: HUGE, huge and huge. This bad boy also has compatibility issues with certain Asus motherboards. My Rampager Extreme kept throwing cpu fan errors. This has been acknowledged by both parties and the solution to shut off monitoring is, in my opinion, unacceptable. Did I mention that this thing is hu...
Summary: Works well but is overpriced. I'm glad I could make a replacement knockoff otherwise I would have been really mad! I wish I had gone with a liquid-cooler instead.
Pros: Stuff runs cool under load and fans are quiet
Cons: They call them thumb screws for a reason! Don't use a screwdriver to tighten the heat-sink braces. One of the screws twisted right off... DOH! Luckily these are just big PCB mounts. I was able to fabricate another that worked perfectly. Also, this thing sits so high I had to remove the fans from ...
Summary: sucks that i can't get my new machine working till i get a heat sync. My own fault for not doing like i normally do and researching every single part. you have been informed! happy building people.
Pros: Massive Fins and very large fan surface. Takes up a large portion of case space for sure. looks very impressive and would likely work wonderfully. I am returning it same day i received it due to compatibility mentioned in cons.
Cons: Gave 3 stars as the only fault i could find is that the design is such that unless your memory is very short. It's not going to work. this thing is less about 1/8 inch too short between the MB and bottom of the fins to work for me. Tried to install with on the following config and didn't work. AS...
Summary: I have never tried the stock CPU cooler that came with my 3770K so I cannot tell you how it compares to that only to the Zalman thing that looks like a ferris wheel.
Pros: Running a core i7-3770K at stock speed, I replaced a Zalman cooler with this device and got my full load temps from 72 to 62. This is not the dramatic change I have seen in some other posts, but still it's an improvement and I feel more confident to begin to overclock.
Cons: It's big big big. If you don't have a cutout in your case for the cpu baseplate don't even try it. On my Intel DZ77GA-70K mobo it covers the memory slots and I had to replace my standard Vengeance memory with the low profile version.
