  • Pros: it cools, but so do all heat sinks. used this on an i7 950 and it cooled ok, but not great. also, the fan is not balanced very well. it shakes. this is a problem with the noctua fans of this style- I have a few of them and they all shake. there are better for cheaper.
  • Cons: over priced and the fan shakes. keep looking- there are better heat sinks.

You can do WAY better for the money...

  • Summary: For $72, I expected a LOT more from this cooler. I've tried with Arctic Silver 5 and the included NT-H1, using ArctiClean each time. Tried with a dot in the middle of the heat spreader, tried spreading an even, thin layer of thermal compound... same results every time. My case is an Antec SOHO with two 80mm intakes, two 80mm outputs, a 120mm output from the PSU, and a 120mm side intake directly over the CPU.
  • Pros: Excellent mounting solution, solid construction, smooth contact surface, huge and astonishingly quiet fan.
  • Cons: Does a very poor job of cooling a 125w Phenom II 965 at stock clocks and voltage. Idle: 30*C / 86*F Load: 60*C / 140*F
