Noctua makes excellent products and the NF-S12B FLX is no different. It is certainly a unique fan in terms of aesthetics, design and engineering. This is especially evident in the attention to detail that Noctua has paid to the fan – for example, the beveled blade tips. Using the included noise-reduction adaptors, you can make the fan run almost silently without compromising performance too much – not that it is loud by any means even at the normal setting. Today we're going to take a look at two Noctua case fans that look identical but are designed slightly different for different computer operating requirements. The first fan we tested is the Noctua NF-S12B ULN . This fan runs at two different speeds; 700 RPM or 500 RPM. The main feature of this particular fan is that it is designed to run as quietly as possible and still cool effectively. Read more

- As with the ULN version, it's pricier than other fans. It would be nicer to have a built in resistor in the fan with a switch that can be accessed from the back of the...

Generally I'm a big fan of international products. My favorite band is from Finland, my favorite television personality is from Scotland, and my favorite actor is from England. It seems that things made in the USA these days don't really last as long as they used to. Of course, if Toyota keeps things up the way they have been, no one will buy import again. But when it comes to air movement, Noctua has more than set the standard for why we should buy from overseas. Read more
