Summary: Fantastically quiet. No, really. This fan is so quiet I thought it might not be working -- it was and it was cranking out plenty of air to keep the case cool. The rubberized fan mounts are a bit fidgety to install so instead I refused the previous fans conventional screw mounts. Plenty of power cable made the wiring very easy.
Summary: Ordered a couple of these to replace the noisy fans in our 2nd Gen Drobos. It is stunning how silent these actually are. When I first turned on the Drobo after installing them, I could only tell they were working by seeing them spin, they are really that quiet. Can't be beaten for the price!
Summary: It is definitely worth the price. I didn't believe it before, but I do now. When you must have a single more quiet high flow fan, I have not found any other. The colors may be unappealing but the build quality and quality of support are undeniable. I would definitely buy again.
Summary: I bought this fan to replace my stock fan that came with my Shuttle Z77R5. For those of you who don't know about shuttle chassis, a 92mm fan cools both the chassis and the CPU (with I.C.E.), meaning this fan is the only fan running to keep my PC alive. Anyway, my current 92mm started to make weird noises so I decided to replace it with the Noctua fan. I was a little skeptic at first because my old fan had higher RPM and higher airflow rating than this one.
Summary: I bought two of these fans to replace failed fans for my media NAS. Everything from the packaging to the instructions and the installations was first class. These fans not only cool the unit nicely but are so much quieter than traditional fans. Now I need to get quieter hard drives. LOL.
Summary: I just started using the Noctua products, but so far what i've gotten is top shelf. I've got the 80mm fan and the 92mm PWM fans and they both throw off a lot of air and are absolutely silent. This fan is in a music server that stores ripped vinyl .aiff files. You can't hear this fan outside the case, and it doesn't make any noise that effects the music playback or recording. Also, these fans are made in Taiwan and the quality shows over the Chinese garbage.
Summary: I swear on Noctua; their fans are sweeter than Swiss chocolate! The anti-vibration mounts are worth it but difficult to install. The low noise adapters are easy to configure according to taste, though if you are going to run intense games on full spec I'd recommend sidestepping them. If you want a thief silent office or media pc then put them on!
