Moves plenty of air, abit noisy

GREGORY B., Newegg
16 September 2013
  • Pros: At 1500rpm it moves more air than my 140mm NZXTs, which operate at a quiet ~1100RPM. The 2 ball bearings make for a good choice for horizontal mounting.
  • Cons: Generally i've found ball bearing fans make more mechanical noise than fans of other bearing types, and this one seems worse than most other ball bearing fans i've tried. It makes an odd clicking or grinding noise here and there, which is usually drowned out by the sound of the fan moving air, bu...

Junk

Anonymous, Newegg
23 May 2010
  • Summary: It's junk. It rattled immediately on power up. Not the blades against the frame; the motor or bearings. No amount of tapping, shaking or adjusting orientation fixed it. I bought this to replace a stock fan, and I spent a couple extra bucks for ball bearings specifically to get a quieter fan, but all...
  • Pros: Black, no LEDs, sleeved cable.
  • Cons: Noisy fan right out of the box.

Overall good fan

Neil T., Newegg
17 January 2010
  • Pros: Moves a lot of air
  • Cons: This fan is not quiet, but it's not expensive either so you can't be too disappointed. I question the 24 db or whatever the claim is.

Works good

Lisa W., Newegg
30 September 2009
  • Summary: If the Antec 140mm tri-flow set on medium sounds ok to you, then this fan will be right up your alley. Fan has a label on each side. Green side up and blue side down on an Antec 300 top mounted case fan.
  • Pros: Installed the fan in the top mount of an Antec 300 that is also 140mm. The Antec 140mm tri-flow only lasted 3 months. It moves more air than the Antec did when the Antec was set on medium. About the same noise on medium too as the Antec. Anything higher than low on the Antec tri-flow is too loud ...
  • Cons: If you are in to quite computing, don't buy this fan. But if you want some good cooling with good airflow, then this is a good fan for the money. Don't get me wrong. The noise to me is not overbearing, but if you like silence look elsewhere for a fan.

Not for me

Anonymous, Newegg
1 July 2009
  • Summary: Live and learn. Will go with a quality (Xigmatech?) fan next time. Even with the problems, will remain a loyal newegg customer. Good prices and great selection. Oh, super fast delivery as well.
  • Pros: None.
  • Cons: This was my second. The first one was crushed due to horrible packaging. Just not up to newegg standards. The replacement's fan blades were not flush with the housing and in about 1 second after installing, a fan blade went flying. On the other issue, the packaging was up to newegg's standards.
