  • Excerpt: For many companies, playing up a product is second nature; it doesn't matter if the product is breathtaking or average. GIGABYTE is a company that will let a mediocre product fall back into the shadows, but will promote their really good stuff.

Silent PC
11 December 2007
  • Summary: The Gigabyte G-Power 2 Pro is a difficult product. On the one hand, it had the potential to be a great cooler. The basic design concept is great: Nicely finished copper base, five long, thicker-than-usual heatpipes running through a big array of thin aluminum fins angled so that the air from the fan flows both onto the VRMs and towards the exhaust fan in a typical case.

Gigabyte G-Power 2 Pro

24 November 2007
  • Summary: The Gigabyte G-Power 2 Pro is a decent cooler that adds probably the best additional airflow for cooling the Mosfets around the CPU socket. Its unique style and cool blue LEDs are a nice touch, and the included power adapter makes the fan extremely quiet when run at 5V. Aside from the proprietary fan, there are a few other issues to take into consideration.
  • Pros: Quietest fan in the test group at 5V, Decent performance, Additional cooling for motherboard Mosfets, Excellent finish on the base, Unique chrome-looking shroud, Cool blue LEDs for the fan
  • Cons: Expensive, Proprietary fan difficult to replace in case of failure, Very large - not recommended for small cases, Unusual installation for Intel LGA775

Gigabyte G-Power 2 PRO

15 February 2011
  • Conclusion: The Gigabyte G-Power 2 is a more than competent cooler which managed to keep our AM2 machine well below dangerous temperatures. It can do it quietly, or you can crank up the power and give your core a little more breathing room. It’s a shame that there isn’t a rear PCI variable speed method which would allow you to change the speed easily, but I feel this cooler is designed for set-and-forget cooling.
  • Pros: Collateral cooling, Silent at 5v, Blue LEDs
  • Cons: Large size, Only two speed options

  • Summary: This is still an effective cooler, just not the best. If cooling performance is all you care about, this ogre is probably blaring your name.

Gigabyte G-Power 2 Pro

17 August 2008
  • Summary: G-power 2 er en massiv kjøler.

Review Gigabyte G-Power 2 Pro

Traficantes de Hardware
15 March 2008
