  • Pros: I actually own the same cooler with 2 screws and a lrager copper plate. The DB127015BU. It is exactly the same in all other respects. SAme fan, same company, just different mounting.
  • Cons: Just an addendum to my previouse post.

Almost useless

BRIAN B., Newegg

  • Summary: Maybe replacing the fan with a small regular bladed quiet one might improve them...maybe not... and get different grease. What they come with seems more like an insulatorthan a conductor.
  • Pros: Fits a 1U case
  • Cons: LOUD I had them on an ASUS KGPE-D16 cooling 2 AMD 6128 8 core 2 GHz CPU's and with the bios set on whisper mode they wer still loud. Iuse my computer for music which includes recording with a Microphone. If I set the gate so it filtered out the fans the vocals were a mess and when the mic did sta...

  • Summary: Total waste of time heatsink. Just fine if all you need is a heatsink for a server that never has high CPU utilization.
  • Pros: Copper, seem to be well built, comes with needed mounting stuff.
  • Cons: NOISY. Included fans are unbearable. Manually lowering the speed helps a little, but they move very little air. Included heatsink compound is rubbish, don't even bother trying to use it. I'd liken it to gray-colored american cheese. USE your own compound. Even with better hs compound, using low-T...

  • Pros: small form makes it easy to mount in any size case
  • Cons: VERY LOUD.... i should have assumed these would be loud at 7,000 rpm, but not THAT LOUD... two of these on two 3.2 dual core xeons, they're running at 65c which doesn't seem so low, i haven't compared these fans to the stock fans so i'm not sure if these are better or not.
