Working well

Daniel I., Newegg
1 February 2016
  • Pros: Price was good, it's fairly quiet (i3 4170), fits in case. Make sure you clean off the plate if using your own thermal paste.
  • Cons: I'm not certain about this, and welcome explanation if I'm mistaken, but the fan seems to be blowing towards the front of my case, opposite case airflow. Is fan pulling air through the fins, or pushing it through? If the former, can I move it to the other side? All the images I see, and complaint...

Hard to beat this cooler for higher-midrange applications

David T., Newegg
25 January 2016
  • Summary: I put this in two FM2 based systems one with an a8 and one a10 @4.4GHz. Both ran hot on stock cooling. The a8 would lock up if the stock cooler got more than the tiniest amount of dust, and had been running case open to stay stable.
  • Pros: It fits like a glove - A lot of coolers block RAM slots, etc. This its right along side the RAM in two systems I installed them in Nice fan - Fan is bigger than you'd think for a 120 MM, it's thicker, and has a tapered duct which improves airflow over the cooler No need to pull MB - ok I'm lazy, ...
  • Cons: It is big - while it fit both systems I put it in. It did not leave a lot of excess space. I would not be surprised if some people have space issues. Does pull on the MB a bit - it's not too heavy for its size, and does not use a back plate. For me that was a plus (see above laziness), but if you...

Very Nice, Very BIG

David S., Newegg
18 November 2015
  • Summary: Overall, very happy.
  • Pros: Spreads heat out nicely, came with paste on the heat sink nice and even. Probably the quietest Fan I have in the PC now.
  • Cons: BIG. Very big be warned if you have a mid-atx it fits but it is tight getting in. Also, for AMD Chips the metal clasp is a little weird it just snaps in from the metal you don't do anything besides that and it feels weird.

10 minute install on AM3

Scott N., Newegg
23 August 2015
  • Pros: Reasonable price, had enough thermal compound applied, quick and easy install on AM3 cpu, quiet in operation, keeps 3.4 GHz quad core cool. Would have only taken 5 minutes to install if I hadn't attached the bracket wrong the first time. It really helps to install a CPU cooler on your MB before y...
  • Cons: Wish the 400 was this price.

working like a charm

Mike C., Newegg
10 August 2015
  • Summary: well done deepcool, next up make PSU whisper quiet.
  • Pros: bought to replace very noisy AMD fan that came with 8320 that i had installed on an old X2 4200+ that i had recently upgraded to a X2 6000+, the install was on a micro ATX mobo...the unit, while difficult to fit due to its size is whisper quiet and also reduced cpu temps by 10 degrees...for $16 i...
  • Cons: installation was a pain but i got it attached eventually...be careful and don't press on the fan/cpu to attach 2nd side but press on attachment structure and it will install easily

DEEPCOOL Review

Brian P., Newegg
7 August 2015
  • Summary: Feels like cheaper quality material, but you get what you pay for.
  • Pros: Fits in my smaller case Runs smoothly and silently Instantly cooled my cpu by 8-10°c from the stock cooler Would recommend
  • Cons: Somewhat rough install (2 of the push pins are directly under the fan and it makes it hard to tighten for my i5 core install) That's it really
