Summary: Used this in my new build with an i5 4670k. swapped the stock fans out with the Gentle Typhoon 1850 rpm's. Idle temps are around 26-29 with 69-70 ambient temps. load temps with a 4.2ghz don't go above 58 degrees. Using the design r4 blackout edition case. Its very quiet, and from what im seeing its doing its job perfectly.
Summary: Had Alienware Aurora R4 i7 3960x Processor. Original stock cooling system failed on me, brought my temps over 100 Celsius. With this temps are down to 30 Celsius and I'm playing Dayz from lowest to highest settings. I'm satisfied.
Summary: I had the h60 corsair but it couldn't handle overclocking as the temps with my i5-2500k were getting above 60c. Then about a week ago the h60 pump burnt out and died on me RIP, it lasted maybe 2 years which isnt bad for that price but since my i5 is showing its age i really needed to overclock her to keep up with my other new parts. Decided to go much bigger, but i knew it was going to be a tad hard to fit in my Scout Case (I) as its not really too big.
Summary: This item can be very useful to cooling down your cpu and it can become more useful if you are thinking about a Liquid Cooling Setup. Recommendation: Get a bigger Tower because this will be hard to fit on a smaller ATX Tower.
Summary: My CPU is noticeably cooler, about 5 degrees C, now with a conservative overclock than it was running a stock air cooler. Its a good system to used when you don't have the time or patients to set up a custom liquid cooling.
Summary: Shipped fast. Easy Installation. What's not to like. For those who want a water cooler look with less cost and zero maintenance, this product is for you. Plus the added fact of the illuminated Corsair emblem, just loving it. Fans are quiet but get louder with higher temps. Not unbearable and they can be easily changed out. Oh yeh, it keeps my i7-4770K cool also; idles at 28 Celsius and when running handbrake, 56 Celsius.
Summary: This is a median watercooler . It is not expensive or cheap, it's not bad, not great. Does not occupy much space and can be assembled in almost all cases. It's not noisy, but also cannot be considered totally silent with the standard fan. All of these factors, allied to the price, put the product in the category of good cost x benefit. So I can recommend as a smart purchase for those who seek to use the pc in both stock and Overclocked.
Summary: besides being ridiculously easy to install on an AMD board, this sweet piece of hardware is the nicest cooling kit I have ever installed in a machine. I just upgraded my system from an AMD Phenom II 955 Quad core with stock air cooling to an AMD FX-8350 8-cored system and this CPU cooler. the old configuration would idle at around 28C in the winter, and 39C in the summer months.
