Great cooling for the price

Brad O., Newegg
16 December 2013
  • Pros: Dirt cheap after rebate back in 2010. Big 120mm fan pushes more than enough air to keep things cool. Very easy mounting on AM2/AM2+/AM3 sockets.
  • Cons: Only faces up and down on AM2/AM3 - not a problem in the Antec Nine Hundred it is in, but could be an issue in some cases.

Very good air cooler

Habeeb, Amazon
8 September 2013
  • Summary: This cooler is a very good product by corsair. Pros: - Able to accommodate multiple sockets. I have used it with 1366, 1156 and 1155 processors - Bought it at less than half the retail price on amazon - Adjustable cpu fan speed (medium and high) - copper heatpipes - high quality fan - easy to set up...

Slick cooler

chris s., Newegg
24 August 2013
  • Summary: Highly recommended if you are currently running a stock heatsink and fan, this product will run cooler and quieter for a long time in almost any case motherboard combination. Keep any eye on the height though as this is not a short cooler.
  • Pros: This Corsair A50 does a great job keeping my OC'd six core AMD 1055T cool and does so nearly silently. With the MIR it was a steal at $15-20. no problems with mounting or collisions with RAM on a MSI 890GXM-65 mATX motherboard.
  • Cons: The mount only lets you have the heatsink and fan in 2 orientations which may cause a bother for certain case designs, but this is largely an AM2-3 socket design problem.

Amazing

Nathan J., Newegg
18 October 2012
  • Summary: This is an very large cooler so check if it will fit in your case before you buy it. I have a monster size case and it fit in mine with plenty of clearance, but if you have a small case or a MicroATX mobo, you may run into issues with it getting in the way of your opposite case side or RAM slots.
  • Pros: -I have yet to see my CPU temp get above 56 C, and that was while running Prime 95. -With a rebate it was 10 dollars. Super cheap but high quality. -Pretty easy install, even though Intel likes to make fan installs difficult -Large fan size makes it really quiet. No need for the speed limiter, it...
  • Cons: None so far!

Interesting

Ali Y., Newegg
4 October 2012
  • Summary: Install the fan first on the fan and put in your case to get a good size and room capacity. Its not tiny but not nearly as big as others. Will work on i7-2600 and 2700K so great choice for 15 bucks.
  • Pros: Noticable difference on CPU temperature. was 76 degrees C with stock cooler on full load with BF3 running on Maximum everything (or ultimate) Now max temperature reached was 58-64. I was shocked intel sends such a sub-par fan and heatsink. Especially considering this only cost me 15 bucks! GO COR...
  • Cons: Size. It fit in my case barely. Fugly factor: Wow its terrible looking :P but considering it gets the job done and isnt a complete eye soar. Instructions. My my what a useless set of instructions. Missing steps: 4 steps missing that are not even listed

  • Cons: -Heatsink may not fit if you have heatsink on your ram. -Heatsink can't handle High Overclock

Very Good CPU Cooler!

Anonymous, Newegg
14 September 2012
  • Summary: I installed this cooler a few months ago and it lowered my CPU temps down quite a bit! Way better than the stock Intel cooler. I purchase the Artic Silver paste to use with it and installation was pretty easy. I love the way it looks in my case! Highly Recommended!
  • Pros: Big, Good Cooling, Easy Installation, Great Looks
  • Cons: Instructions could be better

Great

William T., Newegg
7 September 2012
  • Summary: watch the install video on youtube, and this will be very easy. comes with thermal paste, so you don't necessarily need to buy more. looks good, fan can be placed on either side. I would take an egg off for the instructions being less than stellar, but the product performs as hoped, so 5 eggs it is.
  • Pros: Works, easy install, comes with thermal compound
  • Cons: Instructions are largely unhelpful for a first time builder

User Review

Andrew B., Newegg
31 August 2012
  • Summary: I replaced the included cooling fan with an Artic Cooling 120mm Dual Ball Bearing PWM fan. This combination is very quiet and efficient. The instructions for Thermal Paste are poor. Recommend spreading paste using credit card directly to the cooler.
  • Pros: Provides good cooling for the cost. Fan can be removed / replaced (and to reverse direction). Vibration dampening included for the fan mounting.
  • Cons: Installation instructions were incomplete with missing steps and no instructions for some of the parts. If you buy, make sure to install the included washers on the mounting bracket BEHIND the motherboard. Instruction are generic and include generic Thermal Paste installation instructions.
