Summary: This cooler is a very good product by corsair. Pros: - Able to accommodate multiple sockets. I have used it with 1366, 1156 and 1155 processors - Bought it at less than half the retail price on amazon - Adjustable cpu fan speed (medium and high) - copper heatpipes - high quality fan - easy to set up - Sufficient cooling capacity Cons - Not as good when compared to other more recognised coolers such as noctua
Summary: Installed this unit on an i-4 OC'd to 4ghz. Stock cooler failed. The A50 keeps the proc running at 45C under prime 95. Easy to install. Instructions are vague, but there are videos available on youtube for the novice.
Summary: I recently constructed a computer with an intel i5 Lynnfield quad core CPU. Constructing the machine, I noticed that intel had not changed the design of the stock cpu cooler since the Pentium 4. I figured it would do anyway and finished constructing the machine. I set the alarm in the BIOS to go off when the computer reached 60C. It was a nightmare. Running intense graphical programs and statistical software heated the cpu to intolerable levels.
Summary: Bought this for an older rig, the temps. has dropped massively, it's quiet, came nicely packaged, and looks pretty awesome. I have to say I'm very impressed with Corsair's attention to detail and it's components in general. However, the only semi con I'd say regarding the A50 is the mounting bracket. It requires some effort to get in properly on the mounting holes on the motherboard.
Summary: I got a build your own PC kit from tiger direct, seemed like a great deal, and everything worked perfect. The only problem is that the CPU cooler was not doing its job at all. The CPU was running at @ 50C idle, and playing even older games like half life 1, would cause freezing due to overheating (I have a decent graphics card also, so this was really frustrating) I came to realize tiger direct put together this build your own deal to get rid of these worthless fans.
Summary: La temperatura de mi procesador bajo , es muy buen articulo a muy buen precio y es muy facil la instalacion y trae todo lo necesario para instalarlo, el envio fue muy rapido y tienen muy buena comunicacion, recomiendo que compren aqui
Summary: Currently, I have 6 pc's all overclocked with different coolers. A couple of cooler masters, Corsair H80 and EVGA. The A70 rivals the Corsair H80 as the best of the bunch. The ambient temperature of at 25c compared to the H80 which runs at 35c. For heavy loads (running LinX) the Corsair H80 runs better at 55c compared to 60c on the A70. I definitely recommend this cpu fan for someone who doesn't want to shell out an extra $$ for watercooler and want great performance.
Summary: I was having an issue with overheating while using the stock CPU cooler for the Phenom II 1090t 6-Core CPU. This overheating wasn't really an issue unless I wanted to play a graphic intense game or convert a BluRay. Converting a BR right now with the CPU overclocked @ MAX 106 degrees (F). And I can hear stuff that is going on outside of my computer room due to how quiet this cooler is.
Summary: This fan is BIG! It barely fits in my CM Storm Scout Tower. But it works great, low noise (i run it at 1600rpm) and keeps my system cool (low to mid 30Celsius at idle, mid to high 40s at heavy load).
