Pros: Looks really nice, four copper heatpipes. Provides Good clearance on my MOBO. Makes very good contact with the CPU.
Cons: First of all, this was probably a bad choice on my part. I should have gone for a heftier cooler for a first generation I7 CPU. So other than the problems I had with mounting parts, take this into consideration when I review the performance. Mounting plastic ware is brittle hard plastic and not f...
Summary: I didn't want to waist my time and money on return shipping sooooooo. I resorted to using zip ties... works better than the dumb retaining clips and is solid on my APU keeping temps around 32-38c
Pros: It works and quiet
Cons: Wow... the bracket for amd flat out sucks. When i got it to stay on, the cooler moved around like it had no hold on the processor. I removed it to make sure i didn't do something wrong or i missed something, i put it back on and broke the pin that connects the stupid clip mech.
Summary: The 4 mounting pegs that secure the unit to the motherboard are very cheaply made plastic. I accidentally broke one trying to install it the first day. I put in a part replacement request the next day. FOUR weeks later I tried to use their live chat.
Pros: Unit looks nice. Haven't had enough time to evaluate it in a running environment yet.
Cons: Cheap mounting pegs EXTREMELY slow tech support
Summary: I need to find a cooler that is compatible with AM3/AM3+ CPUs and keeps them COOL. I am debating between N82E16835103099 or going to a water cooler. When under HIGH load, like when playing Battlefield 3, I want to be no higher than 40°C. I'd like to be idling around 20-25°C.
Pros: The design looks good. Copper is used. It's fairly quiet when not on full speed.
Cons: This cooler does not cool my AMD Phenom II X6 AM3 CPU very well. My CPU idles at 44-46°C and when playing Battlefield 3 it goes up to 60-61°C which is way too hot.
Summary: Don't bother with this cooler unless you have at least three small hands and a lot of patience. I don't overclock or game with this computer but it seems like it is running at full rpm all the time.
Pros: It cools well, keeping my i7 at around 34c. Nice and compact.
Cons: Extremely difficult to install. The entire thing slid around about a half inch in every direction while I was trying to get the screw lined up, no doubt scraping the thermal compound off the edges of the chip. While the fan is not too loud, the vibrations cause something to moan and the clips hol...
COOLER MASTER Vortex Plus RR-VTPS-28PK-R1 92mm Long life sleeve CPU Cooler

Excerpt: It's a good seeking fan, and IF it fit, it wouldn't have been too tough to set up. The brackets for mounting are TOOO Small for ATX motherboards! The mounting directions are a bit hard to comply with, along with fitting the parts together... If you have an ATX mother board.... DO NOT Get THIS!!!!
