Summary: It comes with a dial system that you can replace a small panel in the back of your PC with that you can dial in the speed of the fans. Due to the size of the heat sink, I cannot turn it passed a certain point of out fear that it will move too much and eventually fall into the system.
Pros: The heat sink is very good at what it is supposed to do. Currently running this with an OC'd i5-2500k @ 3.8GHz without any issues.
Cons: I find that the sheer size of the heat sink is just a bit much. I'm using an NZXT Phantom case and I cannot put a fan on the door panel because the V8 (It freaking looks like a V8) is just so large. I feel that the mounting brackets for it feel a bit flimsy for the size and weight of the device. ...
Summary: Don't be tempted by it's cool appearance. There are much better cooler out there within the same price range that will do a better job of cooling & quieter.
Pros: Looks nice; does a good job of cooling. Was much easier to install than the CM V6.
Cons: Big (but that was expected), fan is loud & mine is now making a clicking news after a few days of use (not anything sticking in fan like wire or tag on wires). Fan control mounting hardware is complete junk.
Summary: Why am I even writing this review??? It's 2013! Air-coolers are getting more obsolete by the second. (Maybe I'm just bored and enjoy writing reviews for products I bought in 2010)
Pros: Great Temps (25C idle) and looks like a real engine!
Cons: Bulky, huge, and heavy. To say this cooler takes up a lot of space is an understatement. It also has incredibly sharp edges. One wrong move, and you're basically bleeding like a faucet. The cons just don't justify the temps. Especially when you can get comparable results with a more low profile f...
Cons: - Doesn't cool very well. I tried everything to get this thing to cool my processor well, but it constantly runs at 85 degrees Celsius on stock CPU settings. - As mentioned in other reviews, the CPU fan breaks fast if it gets dirty at all. And honestly, I cleaned it at the first signs of wear and...
Summary: Because Its so Bulky, I wouldn't reccomend this.
Pros: Keeps the CPU Cool, and is very innovative. It also looks great on any motherboard.
Cons: The Fan is way too big for my tower; The side panel barely closes. Its a little tricky to install, and if you want to plug something in around it, you better do it before you put it on your CPU. Couldn't they make it a LITTLE bit smaller?
Summary: I'm torn on buying another one to replace the broken one or trying another cooler. It is HUGE and barely fits in my case, which is why I may use another. If it lasted longer I would have been much happier.
Pros: Keeps CPU cool -- I had this for about 2-3 years, it has kept my CPU below 50 degrees with heavy gaming.
Cons: It only lasted 2-3 years. IT has been making clunking noises, I cleaned it out as best as I could. I get a CPU fan error on startup, but it still was working. It just sounded like it was self disintegrating. I replaced it last night with the default CPU fan (that came with the CPU) and even the b...
Cons: on my bio after my computer as been turned off for several hours i get hit F1 key cuase of cpu fan error does that mean its a bad fan once i hit F1 and its been on i dont know if that mean if its bad or not
