Summary: Had this 120mm fan for a while - it's mounted in a Sentey case (Classic series) facing upward - blowing air upward through the top of the case. Here's the thing - after maybe less than 6 months, it started making a grinding noise.
Pros: red light?; moves air well
Cons: sharp blades - I've cut myself twice working around the fan; makes grinding noise only months after purchase
Pros: Pushes a LOT of air. Way more than any stock fan I've used. Red LEDs look really nice, good color, not over powering. Pretty quiet for about a year.
Cons: Lasted *just* over a year. 1 year and a few days. If its mounted vertically, it makes a noise like one of the blades is heavier than the rest. If horizontal, it makes a noise similar to the crackle you hear from a HDD. I'm assuming the bearing is shot, which is a real disappointment since the war...
Summary: I've been a long time fan of Coolermaster (I own a Cosmos II) so I don't think it's Coolermaster's fault this went all bad, I own a second Coolermaster fan of the same type and it's got no issues (though I think I hear a rattling every now and then).
Pros: Good high speed fans and can move a decent amount of air flow.
Cons: First and foremost, the installation was a bit of a pain, I'm never a fan of fans that have to have the screws threaded into the plastic. Makes for a difficult install (at least in my opinion). Secondly, within a year the center fan in the top of my case started to make rattling sounds like the b...
Summary: Anyone who does not care about a silent PC its a good buy
Pros: Nice looking fans, good LED red tone.
Cons: Lets start that my main focus is to build a PC as quiet as I can while not breaking the bank. and with red LEDs Based on reviews some saying that the fan was loud others saying that it was OK once you controlled the RPM (which I have a fan controller), I went ahead and bought two. To my surprise ...
Pros: Cheap and looks good. Good selection of LED colors.
Cons: Mediocre air flow but the biggest con is the noise. These things are very whiny (I got 2 of them). Changing aux fan speeds from bios did not change the fan speed, it kept running at 1900rpm. I ended up removing them and using the 80mm fans that came with the case. Not recommended.
Summary: I bought 3 of these for a new build, thinking that a nice green light-scheme would look great. The good news is it does look cool, the bad news is that these fans produce an obnoxious and high-pitched whine, making them entirely useless unless you enjoy the sound of a mosquito. The case fans that...
Cons: at just 6 months and 8 days of operation this fan started making noise, and when i restart my computer windows recognizes that there is a problem with the fan. I have many other cooler master fans and products and have never run across a problem this early on in the equipment's life cycle. I don'...
