Summary: Use these fans with a fan controller for best effect. The blade design and frame are clean and open for quiet operation. At full speed they are very audible, but turn down the RPMs with a fan controller and they are very quiet. The mounting 'hardware' is a bunch of rubber 'pins'. These will work fine with a thin surface mount like a sheet metal case, but I needed to mount them to an acrylic case where the panels are about 3/8 inch thick.
Summary: Don't get me wrong, this fan is BEAST, but CM has an opportunity to make it better. Pros: 1. Quiet for amount of airflow 2. Powerful at full speed 3. comes with rubber feet to lower noise 4. Minimalist casing around the fan, which makes it more appealing 5. NO TAP INSTALLATION! you use the included rubber strips to lock it in place. keep in mind that once you cut off the ends, you can't reinstall it the same way.
Summary: Absolutely love this fan, I can barely tell it's on it's so quiet. I bought this to replace a fan that was vibrating on the top of my case, I've had no such problems with this one. It's really quiet, pumps air out and isn't going to break the bank. I'm definitely purchasing more when I upgrade my other fans.
Summary: Fortunately I have a CoolerMaster 440 HAF case, so room is not an issue. I recently overclocked my i7-930 to 1.675v from the original 0.85 and added a CM 120 watercooler. I further added 2 of these fans to the cooler, as well as another 2 to the side vent in the case, as well as another 2 on the top of the case. all these together allow me to maintain a P6T mb temp of around 105 F with the processor temps also remaining low.
Extravagant Current Requirements Might Melt your Motherboard

Summary: While the marketing hype may seem intriguing, you may soon find that the noise level, while realistically approaching airport runway levels, is simply too intolerable to endure without the use of a fan controller. Also for the uninitiated, the massive power requirements when compared to other chassis fans precludes using motherboard fan headers as a safety precaution.
