Cooler Master Nepton 280L Review
5 August 2014
Excerpt: In the world of CPUs, closed-loop liquid coolers (CLCs) seem to be standard-issue for enthusiasts these days. They give you higher overclocking headroom than even the most expensive and beefy air coolers, and they can operate more quietly. However, we haven’t seen many with radiators as large as 280mm—just the NZXT Kraken X60 and the Corsair H110 come to mind—so we were eager to run the Cooler Master Nepton 280L through its paces.
Summary: Cooler Master has been trying over the years to squeeze themselves into the all in one liquid cooling market; no spin-offs or re-brands as most AIO manufacturers offer. The in-house design makes these coolers stand out from the competitors offerings, however to be successful the AIO has to be a perfect combination of looks, ease of installation and of course most of all cooling performance at a low noise ratio.
Cooler Master Nepton 280L Closed Loop Water Cooler

Conclusion: Although some may question whether Cooler Master copied its radiator design from manufacturers, why does it matter? The only thing I know is, and with all confidence, I can say the Nepton 280L's performance is pretty darn good. Tested with one of Intel's latest Core i7 iteration of processors that does not exactly run cool, the Cooler Master Nepton 280L does a fine job at keeping it running without breaking a sweat, while working hard to get work done at the same time.
Summary: Coolermaster's Nepton 280L is the best performing all-in-one CPU watercooler Frostytech has tested... thus far. More surprisingly for us, the Nepton 280L managed to rise to the top of the 200W Intel LGA2011, 150W & 85W Intel LGA115x/775 and 125W AMD synthetic thermal heatsink test results charts. After testing +750 CPU thermal solutions, it's kind of nice to be surprised.
Excerpt: Overall I’m very impressed with Cooler Master’s new and refreshingly cool AIO, the Cooler Master Nepton 280L. The whole package from unboxing, installing through to the testing of the cooler has been a great experience from start to finish. The Cooler Master Nepton 280L is surprisingly easy to fit (with the aid of the instructions! ).
Cons: Visoka cijena u Hrvatskoj, bučni ventilatori iznad 1500 okretaja.
