Like it other than the fact that you have to ...

S. Rees, Amazon
22 August 2014
  • Summary: Like it other than the fact that you have to remove the motherboard to put it on or take if off. It's awkward to hold the heat sink in place while screwing it to the support plate under the motherboard. Other than that, it is excellent.

Decent but be prepared to swap the fans.

Robert N. Eublind, Amazon
7 September 2013
  • Summary: This seems to be a decent heatsink the only problem I ran into was after I got it installed so that the logo on the top would be legible, I would assume they wouldn't have intended it to be installed with the logo upside down.

Massive CPU

Jaron Davis, Amazon
7 February 2013
  • Summary: I'm giving it 4 stars because it does it's job well... Pros: - Keeps my i7-3770S running between 37C - 44C at all times, I haven't seen it go about that temp yet. - Easy to install, had no problems at all installing it. - Solid piece of equipment, no foreseeable issues with it.

Amazing cooler, amazing price. Simple, huh?

Ben Reaves, Amazon
29 June 2012
  • Summary: I had a Core 2 Duo E7200 running at 2.53 GHz. I was using the stock cooler. Problem was, every time I put a load on my system, like rendering audio projects, the operating temperature of my E7200 pegged at 104 degrees Celsius. I had no where to go with no money. Luckily, I found this super deal.

  • Summary: I built my first pc and im loving it. I had been reading reviews about my processor (AMD PHENOM II X6 1055Y)before i bought it and decided to get this cooler because a few other buyers said that the original processor stock fan was running loud and sounds like an airplane getting ready to take off I...

effective but a PAIN to install

E. Step., Amazon
9 June 2010
  • Summary: First off, if you are looking to install this, i think 3dgameman shows how to install the V8 cooler, watch this video, as the two are very similar in installation, and the instructions are useless. Speaking of which , they actually told me to install the backplate ... backwards.

High Performance, Bad installation experience

Alaa S. AL Sinan, Amazon
14 February 2009
  • Summary: Used it with LGA1366 and the performance and quality are great. You will not hear the fans spinning. Installation require removing the motherboard and it needs a mount to be placed under and above the motherboard. The fans were not labled, so didn't know which is intake and which is exhuast.
