Summary: Well..... not bad. I think it looks better than it performances. CPU runs between 95f & 105f 95% of the time. the AM3 brace not hard to figure out but a little challenging to put on. I bottom where it sits on the CPU it's very smooth. However, it doesn't cause a bad temp.
Summary: I would have listed the product as easy to install, but the directions are not great. It is a fairly straightforward install and I would say anyone who has the need for this product should have no problem installing the cooler. It has drastically lowered my idle and heavy use temperatures and allows me to keep my case fans on their normal speed. Just measure carefully before purchasing as the cooler is very tall and needs to be in a case that can accommodate it.
Summary: The cooler was easy enough to install, though there were some extra Philip's head screws that I have no idea what they are for (maybe for the intel cpu, I have an AMD AM3 socket). The instructions aren't fully clear, but you can find videos on youtube to help you out. It is a bit loud on 100%. It's probably the same loudness as all my other case fans combined, which I feel like is unnecessary. I usually run it at 50% and the temp of the cpu changes by about 1 degree C.
Summary: This keeps my CPU 10 degrees C lower than the stock Intel cooler. The fan is noticeably quieter than the Intel stock fan, but it can hear it spinning up and down in my case as I'm using my computer (still quieter than the stock fan). The only true problem is that mounting system allows the heatsink to shift a little after it's installed.
Summary: I used this product with a core i7. Works great. Overclocking to 4ghz and it holds steady. No hiccups. Really impressed. Temperatures are a steady 65 under max load using prime95 and lnx. No errors. I would recommend this to others. Although there are still some better ones, I don't see how this one is any "bad". You can add another fans, I do recommend getting new fans or at least a second one to make a push pull configuration for maximum cooling. You won't regret it.
Pros: Easy To Install, Energy Efficient, Quiet, Reliable
Summary: its size fits a niche between super coolers and smaller fans. It's doing an excellent job. The fan mounting clips could be more secure and the mounting process was extremely challenging for these clips where simple screws would have worked.
