LOUD

dare, TigerDirect.com
23 December 2013
  • Summary: Purchased as part of a barebones kit. OK when the CPU (FX 8320) is idling, but start a big job and it sounds like a truck with bad bearings.

HTPC Build with a Older 775 Socket

Wayne,, TigerDirect.com
17 November 2013
  • Summary: Used in a HTPC build with Gigabyte Micro board. It has been in use for 2 weeks and CPU temps are 24C at idle. Full loads at 48C. With board control I don't think the fan is noisy at all. Unless your going to put right next to your ear. Inside my Silverstone case you can't even hear it.

  • Summary: It was very easy to install. It is much quieter and keeps my CPU cooler than my original CPU fan.

Good product Overall

Phil, TigerDirect.com
14 July 2012
  • Summary: Works fine with my Intel LGA1156 cpu. Had an assembly problem when the single clamping screw thread stripped while tightening. Had to re-tap the thread for a larger screw. Not the best design for holding the cooler against the cpu.

Very Quiet, Works GREAT!

Rob,, TigerDirect.com
14 June 2012
  • Summary: My home server kept overheating and shutting down when encoding HD video using handbrake. (4TB Raid 5, Athlon II x4 640 quad core 3.0 ghz). That is until I got my new vortex plus CPU cooler. No more over heating, cpu runs 15 degrees (Celsius) cooler , and the fan is extremely quiet. HIGHLY recommend!
