Quiet And Cool

Excerpt: I purchased an AMD FX-8350 CPU a couple months ago with no intention of upgrading from the stock cooler, however I quickly discovered that the noise of the stock cooler was virtually intolerable when the system was under load (in my case when I was trying to record gameplay).
Excerpt: I purchased this fan for my build, upon opening the package I was fairly surprised to see that it was larger than my hand. The fan works very well however I had to rearrange my RAM to get everything to fit.
Excerpt: A great cooling fan, very quiet and powerful. I recommend measuring your case before purchase, for me the heat sink is so tall it touches the case door. This does not short the CPU but it may cause noise or other problems depending on the case you are using.
Newbie thinks it's solid, but a little tricky to install

Summary: Let me preface by saying that this is my first non-stock HSF. It's currently cooling my CPU, an i7-3770K, and although I haven't overclocked yet, I'm stable at ~29.5/30 C. It's not loud at all, my case fans are noticeably louder.
Summary: Pros: -Best value for the amount of heat this thing can take off your CPU. In an ambient room temperature of 75F, this thing has my i5-3570k CPU idling at 27C and under load at 38-40C for 20 minutes. -Push-pull configurable with the additional brackets given.
Summary: The quality is not the best. I recommend pre-assembling all of the hardware prior to installation to the motherboard. This is because the stand-off screws were not de-burred cleanly. You will need to be careful to prevent cross-treading. The mechanical interface to the AMD A8 APU was good.
Summary: Arrived in good shape. The directions are so so. It's easy to install if the motherboard is out in the open. The mounting hardware could be a bit more user friendly. A few of the fins were slightly bent under the fan. An easy fix when the fan is off in preparation for mounting.
Excerpt: This started to immediately keep my system cooler. I have not gotten a single heat warning since it was installed.

The installation was not nearly as easy as I had expected, but it was worth the effort.
Summary: I use this Evo 212 cooler in a push pull setup and an amd fx-8350. My CPU idles at about 30-32°C and on load testing with wprime95 for 1.5 hours its about 50-52°C. It is big and blocks a RAM slot on my motherboard, but is well made.
